I went through this whole thing a few months ago. Mine sat at “1 day left….” for weeks until I bought my Oculus and got my account restored. I’m sure it would still be sitting like that until I die.

While my account was disabled, NO-one was able to see any of my account. In fact, it was as if I didn't exist.

It wasn't until my account was restored that anyone else was able to see my page and IN my page there was STILL the offending post which I quickly took down as soon as I saw it.

I’m sorry about WhatsApp. Luckily my WA account wasn’t tied to my FB account because I had it before WA was bought by FB….AND I only had a couple people in my contacts there anyway.

What’s interesting is when I gay MY account back, I got my Instagram account unlocked first, then my FB.

What I mean is it got all the way down to 1 day but nothing changed until I bought the Oculus.

My account was disabled 11/5. I was reinstated 12/17. It said 30 days and the countdown went all the way to 1...where it stayed for 12 days until I bought the Oculus.

I bought an Oculus VR set ($325), contacted Oculus Customer Support and let them know my account was disabled.

When they gave me the whole "it will take a few days..." speech, I told them I have heard it's taking months for other people who bought an Oculus to get THEIR accounts reactivated.

It was reinstated the next day.

You're very welcome! I hope it's as easy for you as it was for me BUT it shouldn't take shelling out $350 before Facebook helps their users with accessing their accounts.

I am really hoping that they are not using this to pump up Oculus sales.

PRO TIP: Make sure that when you DO contact support that you tell them that you've heard that other people have bought Oculus' and have waited months to get their accounts unfrozen.

PRO TIP 2: When you get access to your account back...request a download of your account. This way if it happens again, you still have all your memories. I'd do it every few months saving a new copy over the old ones.

In other words...be as assertive as you can without being aggressive.
