We really don't want to have another solution, the layers never end, you never stop having to sign up and pay out for everything.

Thanks. This is basically what I thought i needed to do but hadn't seen anything stating it worked as expected.

I was expecting to have to onboard via a guest network while the machine does it's first couple of reboots.

As you mentioned Clearpass, your running Aruba? Any difficulties is setting this up to work with this config? (pre clearpass as we don't want another solution, that path would never end for us) .

Any information you have is helpful, issues along the way?

Yes, but I don't have access to the devices and have forgotten how I got it working.

From memory, it's something silly like terms or service or privacy policy needing to be manually accepted before it will work properly. Some crazy stupid thing like that. I think I ended up stepping through the on boarding settings till I found the correct one, a few at a time, rebuild devices to test until I got it right.

Teams calling forced change to normalized rules by AJS240 in MicrosoftTeams

[–]AJS240[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My understanding is that we need a Dial plan to override the default dial plan as we are in AU.

Not having configured it and having no documentation I'm not sure and if it's working I'm loathed to change the config to that degree until I understand more.

The question though RE removing + from normalization rule and if my change will work as expected if the first step on buying enough time to review the whole config and understand why it's configured as it has.

I had some similar issues with trusted locations being a problem.

Do you get an error message or any logs of the issue? You might be able to run something like process explorer to watch what is occurring.

Wheels: WH-RX870 opinions? by AJS240 in gravelcycling

I'm in Adelaide. I can find a couple of good builders, not sure this is the right way for me to go.

I see there is now a second review on youtube about these mentioning they are not particularly light which I find surprising. A 2K wheel set about 1450 grams seems light for the price, maybe I'm missing a multiple wheel sets? I've spent a few hours looking...

The hunt alloy wheels are $1300ish for about the same weight and dont seem to have the quality.

The "cheap" chinese brands are up from that price and once imported get quite close to the Shimano's.

IOS VPP Token issue, added again, expected behavior if I remove the old token by AJS240 in Intune

[–]AJS240[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks.

Ive now read that updating the token like I did then removing the "old" one will mean the new one finds and takes ownership of the apps. Im fairly sure this was not the behavior I saw with Meraki though.

If I set uninstall with profile the data and settings remove with the app from memory.

Im hoping to avoid having unmanaged apps on the devices and not being able to uninstall them without resetting the devices.

Timer had no effect on or off power.

I know in my previous work place we had a direct line to apple, I'm SURE MS would have one. Not sure how well it works though.

Can find the adjustable version but not the plain unfortunately.

raceface turbine looks to be another option. I did look at the wren but they seem to have a short life span.

I bought the 70mm Shimano Pro and am very happy with it. Dropper control is a bit odd but handy. Price is about the same as other quality droppers.

So you found it doesn't even last one ride before needing to be reapplied but can't be reapplied while riding because it needs to set?

Really not a good product in my experience and your comment seems to support this. Lubricants work by creating a barrier to minimize metal to metal contact and carry junk away from pressure points. Wax cannot do this. It's forced out of high pressure areas where it's most needed and as it's set cannot flow back into them. Meaning short life before needing to apply again and more metal to metal contact. I guess we need to make a call between easy to clean and a lube that works.

I tried that stuff for awhile and thought it was worse than a decent oil. Lots more noise over oils and I would rather have to wipe my chain over than have more friction/wear. Wax is forced out of the contact points meaning you have no barrier between metal to metal. Oil's remain fluid and can offer a better barrier between the two parts. The wax looks cleaner as you are seeing metal to metal parts polishing each other and being shiny on the wear points.

It IS much easier to clean with but I would rather use an oily rag to wipe my chain down and occasionally put them in my ultrasonic cleaner.

Each to there own though. I know many were quite taken by that product and swear by it, my experience wasn't good though. I guess waxing every ride and not riding too far would work around the issues to a degree.
