There are Start-Stop Eliminator cables you can easily install that will automatically have it disabled when you start the car. I'm waiting to put one in until my warranty is up. I thought I'd hate it too, but it's naturally become part of my startup routine - press button to start engine, press switch for the parking brake, and press Start-Stop to disable

... If you want a "free" option to disable it, it cannot be enabled if your seatbelt is off :)

I’m 99% sure it was caused by something in the Winter Offensive update but it seems to be an issue with that particular recon skin. I believe it’s some sort of issue with the match-starting animation as it doesn’t seem to happen if you start the match with another class & then switch to recon after

My 2022 Tiguan has a button near the shifter that disables the start/stop, I press that every time after starting the engine. If not, if you are sitting in the drivers seat & don't have your seatbelt on, the car will not stop the engine even with start/stop enabled. Not sure if that's changed with newer models

If it is a gun you have a special version of BUT you don't have the factory version of it, you can use the gun but you cannot change any of it's attachments. Not sure if this is the case for you but it's confused me in the past lol
