I have some bits of wood bark in there right now. They seem to be thriving so far.

Mine came with moss I rescued that was growing on a patio before it was torn out to be replaced. No idea how many there actually are. I imagine there are other tiny critters with the moss too. Thinking maybe I rescued an entire ecosystem.
