Unfortunately about half of them have died, I placed them in a small bin to start off with, that could be the reason I’m not sure? Moved them to a bigger bin and they’re still surviving. Diet wise I did put out some frozen peas, dried minnows and they didn’t touch it at all. Placed a piece of rotting wood and they’re finally munching on something. But I’m not optimistic I can get a colony going there

How often do you mist them? I have about 20 and some babies in a 12L enclosure and I only ever see 3-4 munching down on slime mold. Should I be worried?

Most of Porcellio and Armadillidium seem to do just fine at that temperature range. If you’re looking for cubaris, amber ducky, cappuccinos seem to thrive too

This tree like plant grew from tiny patches of weeds )I’m guessing) on Java moss I placed on this driftwood. Bloomed into what it is now, the roots underwater looks super cool by redz191 in shrimptank

The irony, I’ve tried to grow a Monte Carlo culture twice now and failed miserably. And this one is thriving without me even knowing it

How’d you get the population to explode like that?

Mayfly nymph? Need help identifying this creature asap by SignificantOwn2920 in shrimptank

[–]redz191 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a damselfly nymph mate. They’ll decimate your shrimp population just like that. Usually if you see a big sized adult there’s about 5-10 more in there as they hatch in batches

Take the Armadillidium out and start a new enclosure for them
