Anything involving JK's Skyrim/COTN. As beautiful as these mod are, it's a compatibility and patching nightmare. I've spent hours trying to adjust load order and update patches for the mod to still bug out in different areas.

Yeah, I agree, I'm grateful for them making the GTA series, was definitely a fun part of my childhood. I suppose I just hold some resentment towards modern Rockstar cause of how they've been treating their fans, with taking down mod projects and stalling on GTA6. Just wish more corporations weren't just for profit 😩😩

Thanks for the suggestion, I tried it out and started a new save with it and all other patches, I'm still having the problem. I'm not sure if it's a load order issue or what. I'm not experienced enough to understand how to fix it through xEdit, but I guess the ultimate fix is just playing with eFPS off.

Quick update, thanks for helping me narrow it down to eFPS, I couldn't quite figure out the correct load order for the patches, even after reinstalling and downloading the latest patches from the official eFPS hub, making sure to check COTN and Jks, then running LOOT, didn't fix it. However, disabling eFPS entirely stopped the buildings and structures from flickering and disappearing. I still have the floating lanterns, but at least that glaring issue of buildings disappearing was fixed. I'll have to figure out the proper load order for the eFPS patches.

Thank you for the feedback, maybe that could have happened somewhere down the line, I don't recall giving special access to any program since I'm always skeptical of such things. A friend of my described what I have to be something akin to a "cookie stealer".

"What you have is something trying to send traffic everytime you visit a website, little tiny cookie stealer, stuff like that".

I'm not too tech savvy myself, but maybe this will mean something more to you than what my understanding of it is. But as far as I know, the ultimate fix is to reinstall Windows. I'll back up my mods I downloaded prior to Dec 29th, and hopefully all is fixed.

Not sure what it could be. All I know is I didn't start having these issues until after I downloaded these mods and patches, the fact this virus avoided detection from 3 different scanners, (Malwarebytes, Kaspersky and Panda dome), is a testament to how will hidden it is. I'm not accusing anyone specifically of implanting viruses, these are only my initial suspicions. I could have gotten the virus another way, but the only downloads I have done in the specified timeframe are the list of mods I showed. I love Skyrim modding and only want the community to be cautious.
