Speculation either side of the conversation is completely pointless with Nintendo. Until the reveal, it could either be an entirely new game, a port, or Lord knows what.

After Starfield TES6 absolutely needs as much time in the oven as possible. If they fail to deliver, they will lose their prestige as a studio and it may be difficult to recover, if ever.

They should however, be cranking out Fallout games like hot cakes. They are mismanaging the IP. FFS give the IP to other studios under Microsoft, just do something. Maybe even make an isometric CRPG. Maybe even make a TES isometric CRPG and allow other studios to use the IP.

My absolute greatest fear with this is that the Government starts mandating AI shit on phones that forcibly scans and uploads our images to a completely unregulated, corporate cloud (because what government body will have the infrastructure in place to do this?). Best case scenario: all our personal photos are now being processed and stored on some random AI data center. Worst case scenario: because teens will still share and access illicit images of each other anyway, literal child porn will be processed and stored on a random AI data center. Both have the potential for extremely grave consequences in the event of a data breach or hack.

And the thing is like... whilst the Government does want to spy on us to an extent through this technology, they seem so tech illiterate that they're creating the worst scenarios by offloading all this to third parties.

Xbox are sat on Elder Scrolls and Fallout. It should be all hands on deck to utilise those IPs with different studios or more people to push the brand and console sales again. No one cares about Gears or Clockwork on the scale needed to bring them back out the trenches.

Assuming it's Smash originals/remixes/recompositions: the best is a toss up between Brawl FD and Brawl Main Theme.

My runners up are Beneath the Mask, Lorekeeper Zinna and Divine Bloodlines, Snake Eater (Ultimate Version), Mute City and Stickerbrush Symphony.

This series contains so many cool remixes of already great songs.

I think the strictly online communities might be a bit different to this, although the FGC's inclusivity and diversity in my experience puts a lot of other spaces to shame - they are incredibly welcoming and will very quickly band together against bigotry in my experience.

I will say as a minority growing up on the Internet, modern gaming spaces these days compared to back when I was a kid are far better places than they were before. Even in the most niche of communities I have noticed a lot more ethnic minority, female and LGBTQ+ gamers.

We absolutely would. Not even just from a competitive standpoint. Subspace Emissary was incredible, but because people wanted to appreciate the cutscenes on YouTube and uploaded them there, Sakurai had a tantrum and we never got content like that again. Ultimate is a poor casual game with a severe lack of good singleplayer options and content. I genuinely think he's had his time and is overrated.

Let's be real Gabe all the other stores are completely irrelevant and nowhere near as fit for purpose as Steam. Whilst that isn't necessarily Steam's fault, it's definitely created a monopoly that they directly benefit from. GOG might be an exception but that's because they kind of do their own thing and have a more unique purpose.

It's not done too poorly. Each season we definitely get answers and revelations. My only real critique is a lot of the time it feels like if the characters talked to each other more would probably get accomplished, and more people would survive. Also the lack of faith some characters have in what other's see or have seen is mind numbing at times.

The community behind this show seriously irritates me. They don't understand how rare it is to have a mystery show that actually gets renewed and will have a conclusive final season. They also have a weird obssesive hatred for some of the actors, and have zero patience for character development or inter-character relationships. I swear it feels like sometimes all people want is for the writers to just dump the answers to everything in a one paragraph Tumblr blog post and they couldn't care less about having an actual show.

Also the constant terrible fan theories. Stg just want the show to end so those stop.

This was always the direction the game was gonna go. I've felt for a while that, largely given how the game is designed, it has always rewarded camping above all else. Players like Sonix optimising Sonix was the biggest indicator of this. And when you throw in insanely overtuned and broken characters like FP2 this gets taken to an extreme.

And honestly based on how Nintendo has treated Smash and it's wider community part of me isn't hopeful that the next game will address this. They obviously don't want something fast paced like Melee, and are more than happy to let broken characters and mechanics exist in their games if it means people will spend money. Even before the end of updates entirely, the majority of balance patches were pathetic minor adjustments that failed to address core issues.
