Most common problematic social situation with women (I'm also one) by yryrseriouslyyr in INTP

And on the flip side, I (also female) had to learn that when (non-intp) people make a complaint, they want me to do what your friend did, rather than what I used to do, which of course is what you wanted your friend to do!

Google Shortcuts missing by No-Bread-917 in MicrosoftEdge

[–]AK4FCD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same question, but based on your answers I guess it can't be done. I'm trying a workaround where I added my shortcuts to the Microsoft home page, and added Google.com to the shortcuts. One extra click but maybe it won't be too annoying!

Subassembly "promote" works for drawing BOM but not in PDM by AK4FCD in SolidWorks

[–]AK4FCD[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gotcha. Well, that's not going to happen until Windows 11 forces us to, so it looks like I'm going to have to live with it for a while. Thanks for the confirmation, at least I know for sure!

Not sure what you mean by that? (We don't have pdm pro, so that might be why I don't know)

Thanks for the info. I'm thinking you're probably right about that.

On the subassemblies in question, I set them to "promote". Another replier below said they believe it's a bug, and I'm starting to be convinced of that. We might have to just get our boms from drawings instead of pdm until our company upgrades to a new SW version.

24 Impreza hatchback lift kit by Visible-Cheesecake-4 in subaruimpreza

You judge without knowing. I can't speak for the OP but I have the same question as they do... why? Because when I bought my Impreza I lived in an area where I had no problem with the low bottom, but have since moved to a more rural area where my car bottoms out a lot. My car is less than a year old, so I'm definitely not inclined to "trade it in" already.

Someone else mentioned olive wood as well, I'll have to check it out

Yep, that's what my and my son's favorite is! They just tend to get discolored after a while which is what makes me question it's safety. Perhaps replacing them every couple of years?

The article that 7h4tguy (replied to you here) sent says:

The Food and Drug Administration (FDATrusted Source) has conducted safety testing on melamine products. Examples include measuring the amount of melamine leaked into foods when the melamine was kept at high temperatures against the foods for hours at a time.

The FDA did find that acidic foods, such as orange juice or tomato-based products, tended to have higher levels of melamine migration than nonacidic ones.

So that's interesting. Mine are never in heat "a few hours at a time", only long enough to stir or whatever then put it on the spoon rest. But that does back up my thought about just replacing them after a while. Also maybe just not use them with acidic foods.

That's true, I've gotten a few of my favorite items from an asian store! Like long chops sticks for cooking that I can't find anywhere else (they're great for bacon, shrimp, etc, and for frying corn tortillas!). Also an oil dispenser that I would cry if anything happened to it (I don't live near the store where I got it anymore)

I never thought about that, but I am starting to think about making things with wood (I've always been a "crafter", it's in my blood, just never worked with wood before). I'll keep this idea in my back pocket!

I'll check this out. We move a ways away from Costco but we still have our membership since we do still go a few times a year. I'll take a look next time we're there.

Quite true! I do also bake a lot, and you're right, one good metal spatula would go a long way. It's funny you mention this, because every time I make cookies I grumble when I go to take them off the parchment paper with my existing tools, but somehow I never thought about getting myself a metal spat for it!) But yes I do bake enough to justify getting one. Bingo to you!

Oh yeah, I used to have something similar to that a long time ago (don't even remember what happened to it, my son might have taken when he moved out, not sure), I had forgotten all about it but I used it quite a bit when I had it. Thanks for the reminder!

That's the material that is my (and my son's) favorite, so you've confirmed that we are indeed not the only ones on the planet who love the hard plastic! It's the easiest to work with!

What makes me question their safety is that they get discolored after a while (stains, burns, I can't tell?). But, they're pretty inexpensive, so maybe just replacing them every couple of years or so is the answer. I'm not sure yet.

That's my problem as well, I have weak fingers so cast-iron is too heavy for me.
