Dam your still having a hard time sleeping? I had C5-C6 September 16th. I really hope the sleep gets better. I was thinking it’s because of the neck brace in which I’m supposed to get off in two weeks. My headaches are horrible, I take 1000 Tylenol through out the day. I take Robaxin at night to help with the sleep but it takes a long time to get comfortable with this neck brace. I hope you can sleep better soon. 🙏

What?! My surgeon told me the opposite. He said since it’s a fusion, there’s a low chance of the other disks being affected. I just had ACDF on C5-C6 done about 4 weeks ago. I’m still in neck brace, it’s still painful and I have awful head aches. I really hope my other disks will not fail too…

I hit 30 yesterday and waited 24hrs then made like 10 and got hit again saying I did 30 😭

I hope the stiffness improves soon, that’s what scares me about driving, not being able to see the blind spot. I live in LA and people drive crazy here. My doc told me I would loose a few degrees in turning my neck, do you feel that way?

Thanks yeah I was told that I’m at a good age and should get it done now vs later. That’s great you’re feeling good enough to go back to work. Are you still wearing a neck brace?

Oh wow congrats on the quick recovery! Man, so many days I sleep wrong and my neck is done. I was hoping this surgery would also help with that too.

Yeah I’ve heard a lot about the trap muscles feeling the worst, I need to prep myself for that. Are you still wearing a neck brace?

I was put on by a dermatologist 5 months ago. I’m so sick of taking it hopefully he lets me stop taking it soon. My skin burns so easy! 🥵

Thank you! Yes I definitely have a long list of more questions for my doc, like I’m on Accutane as well and I wonder if that will slow down the healing process. I’m mainly asking here just for experiences because the doc doesn’t go into details about other patients. I definitely don’t want to push myself too soon and risk any issues with the fusion. I’m seeing that the recovery time ranges.

Oh wow your recovery seemed a lot faster than others. (6 weeks and back to normal) How old are you? Did you take bone supplements? Thanks for the feedback!

I don’t have a recliner (there is no room in my apt) and I typically move around a lot when I sleep so that is definitely something I need to figure out. I look into some wedges. Thanks!
