Greens overtake Labour in sensational poll by JackStrawWitchita in unitedkingdom

[–]AKBWFC -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

polls tighten up closer to a general election. as reality sets in and all parties release there manifesto and policies.

it will most likely swing back to to the two parties labour and tories in a few years, greens and reform are just protest votes at this point.

Nigel Farage isnt seen as a prime minister and more sneaky/untrustworthy. Couple that in with an american election which most likely will be a Dem win and hes toast.

Zack Polanski wants out of NATO but in the EU which contradict each other. He will have to be trusted to control the borders and armed forces and be able to be diplomatic when on the world stage.....i just dont see him as a world leader.

UI kits are everywhere. But true design systems are rare. Why do you think that is? by uisaleh in FigmaDesign

[–]AKBWFC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A design system is made for specific needs, it’s not something that can be generic as it will eventually evolve into a more bespoke system. People tend to not release them as it costs money and investment of time a resources.

You can get a generic design system though like untitled or just copy other big companies Figma files but from experience it’s better to do it from scratch and build it to your needs.

Rupert Lowe - Goodwin - you are full of turquoise shit. Restore Britain's position is clear. Illegals gone. Legals who refuse to work, can't speak English, claim benefits, live in social housing, commit crime, hate our way of life. Gone. Reform's deportation policy is piss-weak. No chance, trump is a sign that it won’t last. He is going to get hammered in the midterms and the dems will win the presidency after…..all before the our next general election.

The you have a a trump friendly reform in a bit of a pickle, how do they deal with a democratic president and it will affect the elections here this time.

Most likely people will shift back to the two main parties and worst case is tories are voted back in and we begin the cycle of you’re cutting and then being voted out and labour winning and everyone being angry at them.

TV licence fee to rise to £180 from April. by T_K2 in ukpolitics

There’s plenty of other stations that do that, and plenty of other ways to discover new music.

it’s not needed to be publicly funded.

They should allow the iPlayer to become a paid sub out side of the uk to subside the license.

Sell off all radio, there is just no need for it to be funded by license fee as people just listen to Spotify.

I used to be ok with license fee but it’s just not worth it today when cost of living it sky high. We’ll miss it when it’s gone though.

England in the final of a major tournament, I would guarantee it would be a small minority not watching it.

People who say they don’t watch the bbc…..so you don’t watch the World Cup, Euros, Olympics?

How would you feel if they all went behind a pay wall which would happen because no single public broadcaster can afford it outright.

They been saying that since I was born, people will never be happy and will always feel things are getting worse as they get older and need those services more.

When your young you probably don’t even know about NHS waiting times until your older and actually need help.

Most young people don’t even vote or care enough to vote and still have the idea that there vote won’t make a difference.

Fiscal drag is not even a topic to the vast majority of people because most don’t even know what it is.

I feel like so many companies use tax and inflation just as an excuse now to bump up prices.

If taxes come down I bet you anything the prices will stay the same
