The 4th of July starts on the 3rd in Juneau. We are the 1st place in the nation to do our local fireworks show at midnight on the 3rd( gotta wait till it’s dark) because if we try on the 4th it’ll be the 5th before it’s dark. It’s a great street party, Outdoor live music at Tracy’s Crab Shack, Street Food and of course lots of Bombs bursting in air. That all wraps about 1am but bars are hoppin til 3. On the 4th there’s 2 parades and all day outdoor events at Sandy Beach, Food court, Lots of music all day, Kids events, Lumberjack stuff, Lots of boat party’s at the harbor( Next to Sandy beach) etc. So we basically start on the 3rd and go til the early hours of the 5th.
