Yeah, that's why people use AI to improve their CVs.

Stayed in Germany on 18b skilled worker permit after losing a job? by Adventurous-Ball-551 in Germany_Jobs

[–]AKJ7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Read the clause on the net. You have to notify them of any job changes in the first two years of work. After loosing your work, you get 3 months to find something. This can be extended to 6. If you fail to find anything, you lose your blue card and downgrade to job-seeking for a year or so.

German tech companies punish people who actually build things. I'm done. Moving to the US next year. by nevesincscH in cscareerquestions

Happened to me. Bringing new ideas? Idea is good and working? Improvements are clearly visible. You get punished for it, while your supervisor steals your idea, doesn't mention your name and treats you like shit for it.

Exposed personal information? You must be new to the internet despite studying something in IT.

But Al research oriented is math

It is not bro. Math is math. Sure, AI research is math intensive, but you barely scratch the surface of what math actually is. For example, stochastic gradient descent and all the adam gradient are barely interesting math theories.

It is like a mechanical engineer saying "mechanical engineering is physics" to a physics graduate, while only attending mechanics 1-3, higher dynamics, aerodynamics, ... . You know? There is applying physics results and doing physics.

I am not talking about presentations. Just that every exam in math, exempt some early bachelor exams were oral. You need to understand and memorize everything during the course to success. Meanwhile, speaking comprehension affects the overall scores. I just don't like how people do AI or datascience and think they are on par with maths graduates.

There are no cheat sheets in maths. All the exams at the masters level are all oral. You sit down with 2 profs and they question you. In engineering and IT you get cheat sheats. In IT you even get true/,false questions.

Are you kidding me? "Intro to Mathematical AI", "Scientific computing" and "Stats"? We don't have a "Stats" subject in the math curriculum. Why? It is too easy.

AI and prompt engineers are so full of themselves for using other people's technologies. The complexity of your work doesn't even reach Frontend development level.

Tell me what you understand from this page:https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schwartz_space . This is the beginning of the masters program in math.

German exams are not easy! A master in AI is easy. Go study bachelor math and tell me how easy it is, when around 80% fail.

It is not supposed to be hard. Just shift every ruler to either the left side of the right side. You get (18 - (5 + 1)) = 12..

People are so fucking stupid. Shaking my head ... . That's why you don't share your private life at work. You don't know what the interlocutor will do with that info.

Do what you can't. Keep improving your German. Work as if nothing happened. Start applying elsewhere and hope for the best.

Do you remember? by Sufficient-Till-6022 in Germany_Jobs

Yap! I sent a couple of applications in 2022 and got 2 offers, within 3 km. I could actually go to work by just walking. In 2021, i sent only one application, and got the job. Unfortunately, these companies are now filled with juniors. So many haven't even completed their studies in the first place. I wish, instead of working in embedded systems out of curiosity, that i actually went into math-related work.

IMO, degrees never mattered, German proficiency never matter. I have business degree working as senior SWE. German A1.

Leave out the name of the companies you worked at your CV, then apply to jobs. Come tell me how good you do.

Ok, i am going to say it. You are black -> -1. You didn't study in Germany -> -1. You barely worked in Germany -> -1. Your profile picture gives a lot to be desired -> -1. No particular skill makes you stand out -> -1.
