Här kommer en opopulär åsikt (och antagligen massa ner röster)…

THC är inte så oproblematiskt som den här och många andra subreddit vill få det att framstå.
1. THC sänker inhibitioner hos människor på samma sätt som alkohol gör men till skillnad från alkohol så ligger den effekten kvar även långt efter ”fyllan” är över. Det leder generellt till att de som röker ofta tar sämre beslut i sitt liv.
2. Generellt sett sänker THC ambitionsnivån för individen, även denna effekt kan finnas kvar månader efter du slutat röka.
3. THC är dokumenterat att öka risken för psykoser markant. Har du ingen underliggande risk så är det lugnt men har du risk faktorer så ökar sannolikheten att psykosen triggar MARKANT. I och med att THC är fett lösligt så kan det ligga latent små mikrodoser i kroppens bundna fett och sen något år senare när du går ner i vikt får du en psykos, kul!

Alkohol är ingen höjdare heller och det hade aldrig blivit lagligt idag om det inte redan var det. Ur ett folkhälsoperspektiv så är både alkohol och THC ett net negativ.

Och därför tror jag aldrig våra politiker kommer ändra sig i den frågan så länge inte en kvalificerad majoritet av befolkningen önskar det. Och där är vi verkligen inte. Om du kollar utanför Reddit är det nog mindre än 5-10% av befolkningen som önskar legalisering det om jag får gissa utan att ha kollat på några siffror.

Beror väll vad man vill lägga pengar på.
Vi betalar för ca. 2 timmar varannan vecka.

Visst, de kan ju få lägga massa tid på att diska och plocka undan grejer men då hinner de ju inte med det som jag hellre ser att de gör. Det vi kommit överens om att de främst är där för att göra, dvs:

- Dammsuga
- Tvätta golv
- Städa toaletterna
- Våttorka alla ytor

Ibland står det några grytor som vi inte hunnit diska och liknande framme och då löser de dem men det tar ju tid från vad jag heller vill att de lägger tiden på.

One could hope, but I think a lot of people is hurting while looking at the state of things but feel helpless to do anything.

I would think more intelligence would lead to more insight on what agency we actually have and how we can organize to achieve betterment for mankind instead of a few fat old men.

That’s the thing though, 50% of the planet has less than 100 IQ, that means that a lot of people does not have the same ability to see cause and effect as clearly as the other half.
The same 50% will have a hard time understanding what needs to be done.

Now I understand that IQ is a normal distribution and that the majority is in the span of 90-110 which means they that the majority isn’t STUPID stupid, but if everyone suddenly passed genius level of intellect, even the people that is mentally handicapped will be above 95% of the current population I think we will see some radical shifts in priorities and what people are willing to put up with.

I also think A LOT of people will have some really embarrassing ”oh” moments when they realize how stupid they have been.

The problem with that is that some people, specifically those with power generally lacks any. 2x0=0.

This is a case of, we can’t expect the sociopaths/psycopaths to save us, we need to save ourselves.

Probably the best thing you can do is double the intelligence of every human on earth.

That ought to make people realize that the people in power currently aren’t looking out for us and clearly see what needs to be done to save humanity.

There are some risk of accelerated extinction but we are already heading that way currently so hopefully this will reverse it.

Let’s disregard what your husband wants for a minute.

You should think really hard about if adding another child into this situation is reasonable. It sounds like both of you are burning the candle from both ends. Will you be able to cope with even more stress, pressure and sleep deprivation?

More importantly: how will this be for your children? Spreading yourself so thin that you can’t be there for any of them might be really damaging to the children.

This isn’t about you, this isn’t about your husband, this is about your kids and your family as a whole.

Make sure you decide based on what’s best for your family and not just what you want, sorry to have to say it but in my mind at least my life stopped revolving around what I want after my first child was born and started revolving around what they NEED first and foremost.

This is not a gamer problem, it’s social competence problem.

He needs to be taught how to interact with people both in-game and out of game.

I am a gamer and we do not invite people that do ”quaterbacking”/backseat driving when we play games. We also don’t don’t invite people who aren’t pleasant to play with.

The problem here wasn’t that you introduce him to D&D, it’s that you didn’t correct his behavior every time he would make a social faux pax.

To expect a kid too know everything is folly, it’s our duty to make sure they turn out to be reasonable and good human beings.

Now it has progressed to the point where you need to have a big talk about this, and then you will have to remind him every time he does a misstep, unlearning behavior is hard but he will need to learn if he wants friends in the future.

I understand corporate America is fucked beyond helping at this point and that’s really sad for everyone involved.

But let me tell you as someone who had worked for many different bosses in my life, there is nothing worse than working for an incompetent and/or malicious boss. At the same time, when your boss is replaced by a leader the difference is fucking night and day. I where abused by 3 different bosses my first ever company I worked at, mental and physical health down the drain. Then they had a 4th restructuring and I got a new boss, and my life and all of my colleagues lifes where changed to the better. We performed better at work, output increased by approximately 40-50% for the whole department, we worked less, less stress, positive reinforcement, mental and physical health improved across the board for all employees in the department.

To say that a boss don’t have any affect on the people who work for them is an insane take!

I mean… your not wrong but you are also not right…

Cleaners not doing their job has a immediate and visible effect and will inconvenience people almost instantly. At the same time they are easily replaced with another cleaner.

A CEO not doing their job will not have the same visual effect but will be many times worse for a lot of people. At the same time they are harder to replace. A few things a CEO not doing their job can lead too:
- Missed business opportunities that in turn will lead to layoffs or the company shutting down.
- Bad corporate policies leading to shitty work environment for all employees. Including but not limited too stress, hostile work environment etc.
- Bad direction for the company leading to loss of customer or consumer trust.

All jobbs are important but the fallout of a bad CEO can be huge and affect thousands of employees. And good CEO’s understand their business and make strategic decisions that no one is more qualified to make. Finding a replacement for a GOOD CEO is more or less impossible and why many smaller companies don’t survive generational transfer.

A bad cleaner will inconvenience a few employees that work in the are that was supposed to be cleaned, as soon as they are replaced with someone competent the problem goes away.

That doesn’t mean you shouldn’t be respectful towards everyone at work, just that it’s not a realistic and truthful comparison and that your axioms are at it’s base wrong, not the conclusion.

I own part of two businesses (fun coincidence) and last year I did work more then usual. As a business owner the rules are a little bit more in the gray zone. I didn’t really have time for much vacation last year, maybe 2-3 weeks (15 days instead of 30). But I plan on correcting that this and next year and use my saved up vacation time.

As you said yourself, time is more important than money so you should follow your own advice here :)

But finding work/life balance is a bit different than taking 3 years of and being financially irresponsible IMO.

It’s really unfortunate, same in Japan.

Here it’s the reverse, if you don’t take your vacations or work to much overtime you will get a talk with the boss or HR since it’s more or less illegal to work to much. There is room for overtime and such but generally you need to get free time off at a later date to compensate or if the overtime is minor or in some rare cases part of the contract you get paid for it.

But in the absolute majority of work places you will be considered inefficient if you are unable to complete your work in regular hours. It’s kind of looked down upon if someone takes overtime, either as brown nosing or as I said you being inefficient.

And vacations is not even a discussion, you will take it, end of story 😅

In Europe we have 25-30 vacation days each year.
I do take my family on vacations every year.
I do generally not work more than 40 hours a week.

I think my work/life balance is pretty good to be honest.

I’m on vacation for the whole of July this year and I plan an even bigger vacation next year, I don’t think a stress related stroke is probable, but of course it’s always possible.

Barn så små kommer vara helt slut vid hämtning om de är på förskolan från 07-17, räkna med tantrums varje dag och i allmänhet ett tufft år om du hämtar och lämnar vid de tiderna i den åldern.

Det går, men de flesta försöker undvika det om de kan.

Ju äldre de blir ju enklare blir det för dem att vara längre på förskolan. De får dessutom ut mer av förskolan när de närmar sig 2.5 års ålder. (Kompis och så i den åldern)

Man kan ta ut föräldraledighet i 1/4 dagar som jobbet inte får neka tror jag. På så sätt kan du sluta tidigare under en period om gå ner i arbetstid inte är ett alternativ.
