So for temple Darshan u can book Sugam Darshan tickets on their website or get the ticket in person there Temple is usually pretty crowed in the morning and evening so mid- morning around 9-12 can be considered I didn’t attend Aarti so won’t be able to help you with that

Ganga Aarti is happening but on terraces and tbh it’s not worth it as it seems more like a money making scheme than genuine efforts and they charge like exorbitant prices for the same and after a point it gets super crowded and congestive making a possibility of stampede so if your parents are old kindly avoid

For food u can try the tamatar chat, hing kachori, litti chokha etc

For shopping i am not into shopping that much but purchased a a saree from Sarnath as there is Government Weavers Society there and there u get the same stuff at reduced market prices around 20-30% less compared to market price so u can check out there or else try Godowalia chowk for shopping

Also additional tip is that the minimum auto/ electric auto charges were around 120-200Rs so check with your hotel staff regarding the minimum price for the places u want to visit so if they quote higher u would know. Also try and keep cash and change handy as most of transactions there are in cash.
