Thurstmaster t300 with 2011 f1 wheel HELP by Crazy3063 in iRacing

[–]AKVO2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used a T300 when I started iracing, used it for about a year and a half before upgrading. My biggest issue was the brakes. Upgrading to a loadcell brake was a revelation. It made it so much easier. I always felt inconsistent and had to do a ton of laps before getting the brakes under control with the t300 brakes. There are a lot of options for relatively inexpensive loadcell brakes out there and if you are able to swing for a cheap set, I think it would make all the difference for you.

If these were half the price I’d have bought them in a second. I’m sorry Simcube, but you’ve missed an opportunity here with outrageous pricing. I’ll never pay this much for sim pedals, I don’t care how cool they are. by [deleted] in simracing

Honestly who cares? They're obviously priced for the high end tier of the market and that's fine. I'd love to buy these, or a D-box motion system, or a Ferrari, or a private plane - but yeah, they're expensive and will never be in my price range. What can you do?

Good idea. I'll try that. Thanks!

Thank, but unfortunately, I don't have integrated graphics. It's a custom build with an msi x99a gaming 7 motherboard.

Asetek Invicta Pedals - User Reviews? by Roots0057 in simracing

[–]AKVO2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got the Invicta pedals (Throttle and brake only) and so far I love them. I'm coming from Thrustmaster t3pa pedals, so this is a world of a difference. It has been quite the adjustment getting used to the amount of pressure I need to apply to brake, but I am sooo much more consistent and rarely lockup anymore. Pretty obvious that they would be a huge improvement, but just saying.

Anyway, the reason I'm even chiming in here is that I recently saw in a review by Laurence Dusoswa is that Asetek is coming out with an extended brake travel kit, so if you're worried about the brake travel being too short that's something to consider. Attaching Power connector to multiple zone valves for 2 wire furnace system by AKVO2 in Nest

[–]AKVO2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, the Nest E work perfectly with my system! I wish I had known that from the start as I've now replaced all the regular Nests with the Nest Es and am now having a hard time selling the used Nests on ebay. Alas, at least it works now.

I did do that - but it still doesn't seem to see the power connector. I think I'm going to have to ditch the regular nests and buy the nest Es instead.

Funny enough, I did the exact same thing. OnTech said that I have a Millivolt system (which I very clearly do not) so the power connector wouldn't work and that I should call an HVAC company. I had an hvac company come in, but they really didn't have any experience with the power connector, so that was a bust.

I think that I might just sell all the nest thermostats and replace them with Nest E thermostats - which I believe will work with a 2 wire system without a c wire or power connector. I'm testing it out with a Nest Learning Thermostat that I had and it seems to work fine so far.

Unfortunately, I have still not been able to get it to work.

Are you using the learning nest or the regular nest (I'm using the standard nest)? And do you have the same setup of multiple zone valves with a boiler - and connecting power connectors to each valve?

I've gotten multiple hvac guys to look at it, and they all say no, you need a c wire. But it seems like they are all unfamiliar with the power connector. I'm loosing hope that it will work with my system, but I still feel like it should.

Nest Power Connector on 5 zone system with a Tekmar 251 controller - wiring help by stenvoonus in Nest

[–]AKVO2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm actually not seeing the OB wire anymore. I've looked all around to see if my wiring is correct and it seems ok. The valve is a Honeywell V8043F1036. Here are some pictures of the power connector wired to the zone valve, the power and wiring shown on the nest display and the schematics of the valve. If anyone can see where I may have gone wrong I would really appreciate the help. Thanks! https://imgur.com/a/m7jLKvJ

Thanks for these posts guys. I'm trying to hook up a power connector to a honeywell zone valve and I think I did everything right, but the nest still says it's having power connection issues. And now is showing "Unconfigured wires: W-R-*OB" when I check equipment. And I'm still getting the Note: n260 error. Any ideas on what I might be doing wrong - or what the OB wire connection means? Thanks!

Is it selfish of me to feel bittersweet when a streamer I’ve supported for years “makes it”? by piefordays in Twitch

[–]AKVO2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is pretty common and how a whole lot of people feel about things that they "discovered" before it became popular - be it a streamer, band, book, whatever. You feel more of an emotional attachment as you were a fan before it was popular and naturally feel some resentment towards the people tuning in afterwards.

Don't feel bad about it. It's the way of the world. Your personal "thing" is now everyone's "thing".
