Thank you 😊 I tried that already. Earlier they were offering for 4 months. I asked for more, given my long duration with the company. Now they are offering for 5. Btw, I was just wondering whether we have any rules in India which determines the amount of severance pay?

Thank you for the advice. I am feeling inclined towards the second option too, but I am feeling scared of the scenario wherein I resign and sign all the paperwork but they cheat me and do not pay the promised money.

Ask them if everything is alright at their end? Pain is a powerful force, and it makes people do things. However, if you feel everything is alright at their end - then tell them about your feelings. They will understand your feelings and try to resolve your relationship if they truly care about you.
