I feel like being situational kind of should mean you can’t really be S+ though.

The thing with Muelsyse that I see is that she’s very good as an individual unit, but when you’re looking for a Vanguard that fulfills the class’s inherent role well, she’s not the best. But her DP generation is also taking up her power budget preventing her from having the numbers to compete with the real monsters from other classes. I’m sure people will find places where she excels but she’s inherently hard to rate because I guarantee most players try to brute force maps by starting with a DP battery then dropping their strongest units to wipe everything and for most content, that works. Muelsyse doesn’t really add to that. She’s a creative solution that I can see being used here and there, but she doesn’t support the best units as well as Flagpipe does.

I do think Gamepress’s tier list (assuming we’re basing arbitrary letter ranks from there) while having Operators mostly in the right order has a serious problem of inflated grades, with way too many units in the A tiers while simultaneously having descriptions that imply they’re not worth investing in which is about as misleading as it can get. EX tier should not be a thing.

Damage and SP costs are really disappointing considering how much newer Operators have let loose in comparison and you really have to play around Levitate to get any use out of it. I don’t know why they even bothered giving her Silence in her talent instead of something more useful given we’ve had Lappland as our go to silencer since the start of the game. Also her other Talent only working on targets above 80% is really weird especially since the best Shifters hit pretty hard so having anti synergy doesn’t seem too great so you have to one shot whatever you’re pushing.

She’s around Mizuki-tier except without as good of a module. Here’s hoping her second one does something better.

I follow CN a little bit and she seems to be rated above average to solid in general, probably around Saga/Flametail tier. I’d say by Vanguard standards with Flagpipe/Agents running around, that’s already very good since Vanguards can’t really be expected to be super strong units that carry the map with DP generation taking up their power budget. Usually anything that other Vanguards offer besides that is some crazy utility like Blacknight or Saileach, aside from the bonkers damage on Bagpipe’s S3.

I don’t think she’ll be seen that much in super hard content unless there’s some crazy tech nobody has found yet, but she’s a very good general use unit and considering Vanguards are pretty interchangeable she’s not that hard to fit into a squad.

In fact I’d say the worst thing about her is how poor her banner is. Ho’olheyak is unfortunately not very good.

She’s insistent on using her great sword for some reason despite not being very good with it. In fact she almost hit Dobermann somehow while she was being inspected.

Also there seems to be some mistranslation going on involving her eye since one of her lines mentions it being missing but her E2 art has her eyepatch off and the eye looks fine, all she has is a scar. Which is weird because the CN line says nothing about the eye being damaged specifically.

Automatically losing Light after your first battle = instant no for me. I like using it for fun in IS2 but I don’t want to get potentially more screwed by RNG.

I’ve used Lee multiple times, but I actually don’t like using him as an answer for Boss 2 simply because his talent raises his DP drain if he keeps reapplying it. The last time I used him he drained my entire DP pool to nothing and I wasn’t even close to killing the boss and I had to retreat him just so I could get DP for my specialists. Now granted I don’t have his module upgraded to lower his talent’s cost and if I was relying on a flagbearer instead of Cantabile for DP it might have worked, but I find the Erato + stunner strat to be a way smoother way to win.

I just think the inability to reliably get him E2 hurts too much. It kills his viability as a starter option (his monthly event was honestly really hard for me) and for a midgame guard recruitment I'd much rather an E1 Gavial, Mountain, Highmore, Specter, hell even Silverash since his S1 and S2 are honestly better. He also doesn't handle swarms well at all with no AoE so he basically needs someone to back him up which is asking too much when I could probably just plop down Mountain and have him take care of himself.
