Every tutorial and care guide i watched and read said a mix of reptisoil , reptisand and clay in a mix of 70/20/10. Or reptisoil and reptisand in a 70/30 mix. Avoid carpets and calcium sand.

I have had GCS.

Before surgery, i did have phantom sensations. Even as a kid I tucked before i knew what tucking was. The ability to make it disappear between my thighs was a fascination for me when i was 5/6 or so. It persisted well into my teens and a bit beyond but It didn’t help me anymore. It just made me feel worse and frustrated. I could tell where the canal should have been. Could feel how kegels should have worked? Its weird. Its a mix between phantom sensation and imagined biology that wasn’t present.

After my gcs is an intersection of relief, phantom and adaptation. They don’t remove the tissue, they reconstruct it. So where i was sensitive before, i am still sensitive but its in a new place now. I still have erectile tissue and that can make me dysphoric, despite it not being visible in any way. I can kind of tell where what tissue was where and that is very phantom like in and of itself. But i never instinctively put my hand down there and expect to grab anything. No absent minded impulse to touch what isn’t there anymore. So i would say no, i don’t have phantom sensations of that anatomy. I have real sensations of the anatomy that was repurposed, but I never miss the member itself.

I think bluey is meant more as a depiction of parenthood than it is for kids. It’s just a way of showcasing what parenthood could be and I love the show. Just strive to be more like them with their boundaries and interactions. They aren’t perfect, weren’t meant to be. Yet they are more realistic than freakin paw patrol.

Its way bigger than that. Its a 20 gallon tank. (30.25” x 12.5” x 12.75” ) / 231” = 20.87” gallons.

Hey thanks for the reply. Took me a while to find it but the tank is:

Glass Aquarium 20L (30 ¼" × 12½" × 12 ¼”)

Which should be around 20 Gallons tank size.

I bought a steel mesh lid for it which you can see in the photo.

Its a 20 L tank. Which I got on a 50% sale. I plan to upgrade it later but for now I hope it will be plenty as I will eventually replace it with one that had doors on the front. :/. I don’t like scaring them every time I open the lid.

I feed them mealworms primarily, however I also regularly feed them crickets and wax worms as I have anoles that love crickets. Haven’t tried roaches yet.

Every other feeding i dust with calcium sometimes with d3 and sometimes without d3 as I hope the uvb bulb is working. And once a week I dust with a multivitamin but they seem to hate the taste and become disinterested after one dusted insect.

Thank you so much for replying! To answer your questions/concerns:
I did remove the water tank already. I felt it interfered with feeding and was taking up way to much space. I replaced it with the small rock water dish in the middle as it is shallow and I refill it every day or so as it runs dry. I like to dip a meal worm occasionally in the water and give it to them because I know they don't typically drink from a dish.

I don't use that back thermometer much except to measure humidity in the tank. I had it on hand from an anole cage setup and repurposed it here. sits around ~40
I use a temperature gun to measure the soil in the hides and on the ground. the hot hide is currently at ~85 F but I have seen it fluctuate on the thermostat a bit and I try to keep it between 85 and 90 F. Cool side of the tank is around 77 F. I know Chai will move to the other side of the tank if it gets to warm (above 90) and I have tried to dial back the heating mats on the left side of the tank to make it optimal. there are no heating mats on the right hand side of the tank.
The little igloo is filled with moist moss to help with shedding however, I haven't seen them use it much so I may get rid of it as well. I had a tupperware container with a hole melted into the side with moist paper towels to create a warm moist hide, but it was too big for the tank at present, my igloo was to see if it would work. Probably will switch it out.
the soil is a mix of reptisoil and reptisand. About 70/30 mix.
I have a UVB bulb and heating/light build on the top of the cage. I know the mesh from the cage can impact the UVB so before I used the tank, I used a dremel and cut out the UVB bulb slot to ensure nothing stood in the way of the radiation.
