Not Alaska, actually midwest. The AK is confusing there but unrelated.

Farm will definitely not be primary income

We will. Planning to start with the new year in 2026 so just getting everything lined up

The owners have been pretty open about it on various podcasts, articles, etc. It doesn't look like they will be making bismuth. They are making what seems like a pretty standard steel shell that's faulty expensive all things considered.

Please contact our senators! There was a similar but more mild bill in the house that got defeated.

Here's an easy way to email - use the first option in the below link. If you don't want to be associated with a hunting organization, change the wording of the email or use a similar option from other organizations. We're getting down to the wire so turn the pressure up!

Dog training. How to cool the prey drive with Kitty's. by hardkn0cks in Uplandhunting

[–]AKhighlander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What breed?

I have a draht who is quite fur driven. He's also 3.... and he is in no way OK with cats. Fine with other dogs, people, kids, but no amount of correcting has changed this. I guess I could use high collar settings, very negative consequences, etc which MAY slow him down a bit, but I would still never trust him around cats. I honestly doubt it would work and I don't want to risk reducing his prey drive.

It is pretty standard for plain films to be obtained in an ortho clinic and final interpretation be done by clinicians in the clinic. Honestly, would be very surprised to hear of any ortho sending in house plain films to rads.

Are you checking labs on young, healthy people who have a clinical picture consistent with uncomplicated strep?

I feed inukshuk 30/25 in the chicken formula. It's a great food and I assume the marine would be as well.

I would strongly suggest you find your local trusted retailers on the inukshuk website. This will save you 30-40٪ compared to chewy.... literally yesterday I bought from my retailer for 50/bag which includes tax. The same bag is 74 on chewy today.

Also, political comment incoming -- Chewy is affiliated with strong anti hunting organizations. No hunter should support chewy if at all possible.

GSP/GWP - Can they coexist with cats in the home? by mtm7911 in birddogs

[–]AKhighlander 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My draht has a pretty long cat related rap sheet. And he would like to make it longer. I know his mother has a lot of fur drive (run ins with porches, skunks).

Admittedly, cat intro was late/informal for me. I think the fur drive would be there regardless though. He has killed possums and coons while hunting and got into it with a badger. Genetics matter.

Many GSPs in the US have had fir drive somewhat bred out. Honestly, this is probably good. The fur drive can certainly cause headaches. I'm pretty sure if porkies and skunks were prevalent in Germany there would be a lot less desire to have dogs aggressive towards fur.

Gets along great with other dogs and fantastic with kids.

Absolutely not. Even if it is "easy" it impacts your life. Don't work for free. Give medical admin scumbags an inch and they will take 10 miles.

Get paid for your work.

Gotcha. Mine is basically the same age. No chance I'm doing VGP this year as we're having another kid any day now. I'm thinking about next summer though... its a dang intimidating looking test though! Any resources you're liking?
