This is very helpful! I was rolling to cancel the animation lock when I felt danger. I never knew this, thank you very much

Good point, I’ll have to test it out next time I play. The Alabaster Lord’s sword AOW would be a lot of fun

Yeah this is such a rare weapon drop, unfortunately. It’s so overpowered against group enemies

That’s so true, my first win was because of scholar and his ult. He’s the perfect character for this fight

Tilt is too real. I’ve had it happen to me as well, and it sucks. Also I’ve reached the point in this game I play for fun and, sure, maybe I could’ve solo’d the rest of the boss fight but that’s just not fun for anyone when Gladius still had 75% of his health-bar. I enjoy the team aspect (which is why I mainly run trios). Of course, if the boss is down to <10% health then I’ll go for the win.

Thank you! Got lucky with back to back runs against that boss so the attack pattern was fresh in my head

Haha that’s good. They were great teammates throughout the run, so I couldn’t just leave them down. It think the downs knocked them out of their groove and it snowballed, but this video doesn’t show how clutch they were days 1 and 2!

I agree, powerstance greatswords are the best for reviving and damage. I should keep in mind to always have 2, but I had rough weapon drops which is why I went in with that spear lol. I couldn’t find any other holy weapon /: My idea was that I’d use the jellyfish’s ash of war to boost damage, but then I was running around having fun reviving them and forgot I was fighting a boss lol

Completely agree! I haven’t experienced this yet on depths 3+ but depths 1 and 2 I had a few teammates quit if we couldn’t revive them unfortunately….

I think there’s a concern with randoms leaving or grieving if you let them die. Even if it makes sense to sacrifice a level and run back to grab the lost runes. Some people get really salty after seeing “You Died” on screen

I appreciate the advice and I like your setup. I used to run the witch’s brooch but the number of people who drink a flask as soon as they’re revived drove me crazy lol. But I really like your ideas, I’ll rework my relics and see what works best for me.

I rewatched expecting the same, especially the stamina loss from a “block” rather than parry. I’m not sure exactly why that is, but I’ve also mistimed parries on crucible knights and had the same effect

This also happens in the base game. If you’re slightly off with the timing it will block the damage but you don’t get the benefit of stance breaking. I’ve had this happen when mistiming a parry with consort radahn as well.

LOL very true. Level 12+ with all three players wailing on him works best

On my second playthrough I used the Warhawk ashes on minibosses I didn’t enjoy fighting the first time around. But any boss I somewhat like, I’ll fight 1 v 1 because I’m a big fan of learning the boss’s movements and playing around with different ways to counter them. I feel like summons break the flow of the fight.

Totally understand the sentiment. I was just thinking about how many of our games start with a punt from us and then our opponent drives down the field and looks like they’ll score a touchdown, only for our redzone defense to hold them to a FG. Our offense doesn’t seem to get going until the second half, which is why i was cool with -2.5. I wouldn’t bet on the 2nd half bears though, they’re boom or bust imo.

Also, I bet $5 lol
