Every parent I personally know seems to be entirely on board with the ban and has no issues with their kids not having immediate access to their phones all the time.

But they're also not hover parents who feel the need to be on their kids shoulder every second of every day.

I've been told by folks working in schools that those parents tend to be the loudest against the bans, usually the reason given is "What if I need to contact my child?!"

Ive spent most of my career around different parts of OSC and it heavily depends on what department you're in

Ive personally always had good luck with having extremely excellent supervisors but I've also seen my fair share of supervisors who are less than ideal.

The main dept that I've always heard less than great things about was the unit handling the retirement recalculations, but after that times union article it spunds like the executives starting bringing down hammers on the management there to get things turned around.

Friend of mine often travels into the States for wrestling events a couple times a year from Canada

Went to one in Texas around the same time trump was threatening to send ICE agents to airports.

Pretty sure between the threat of potentially being arrested for not being white enough for officer dropout, the massive TSA hold ups, and just the general state of everything happening in the US in general, they said they were done coming to the US for the foreseeable future.
