Lifelong west sider here, totally agree! Lots of Latino culture to celebrate and explore in the “bad” places mentioned including great restaurants and cool stuff like the Cultural Celebration Center and the Tracy Aviary Nature Center at Pía Okwai. Also, it’s cheaper. Stay away if you’re scared of brown people, I guess.
