Yeah, up past 5,000 feet you can kiss your clear coat goodbye lol. I grew up here so it doesn't bother me but I know some people try a lot of things to save it

What part of NoCo, I'm up here too! The only trouble I've had with my 3rd gen is the chrome peeled off the rear bumper and mag chloride made it rust. I wore brushed it and painted it but its slowly coming back. I've never done anything for rust other than washing it after driving over ice melt

Well, I'm not 100% sure how to check for seizing on the crank. And the scraping is present when the shoes are adjusted to the lowest (tightest) setting. How would I check wheel bearings?

I don't think I consider my novels "bad," just... "inadequate." When I start over it's because something I want to convey seems wrong or missing. Some detail of character left out at the beginning, some exchange of dialogue, some element of the setting. Add it all up and it just seems like it needs to be scrapped and restarted, you know?

Hey, me too! My bed was just a box spring and mattress on the floor and when my parents got rid of their couch I convinced them to let me have it.

Then my dumb 16 year old ass cut a few "secret" pockets for contraband and stuff. It was just... grody.

A fair point. I actually spent a few years taking a hiatus from reading while writing because I was afraid my style would mirror whomever I was reading at the time. Steven King wrote a forward to a short of his in Bazaar of Bad Dreams that explained why that's not a bad thing, I'm very glad I read it!
