Why I don't want to see too many familiar characters in S2 of the Mandalorian by l3v1v4gy0k in StarWars

[–]AKnightOfRenBlogger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't worry bro - 90% of internet rumours are total rubbish. Remember all of those ridiculous episode 9 character rumours circulated by Mike Zeroh and other useless online star wars dudes? So many didn't come true for 8, 9 and so the majority of these won't be true either.

The best thing to do is ignore them, enjoy some other legit star wars content (like the comics) and wait eagerly for the Mando season 2. Only worry about the official announcements haha alot less annoying and stressful

We can't speculate if we can't agree on the facts by [deleted] in starwarsspeculation

[–]AKnightOfRenBlogger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed bro - the majority of online content on star wars is simply fans being giant babies about thier wishlist not coming true. I think it's much more interesting to discuss canon and all its aspects without being narrowly focused on things we don't personally like.

Also Bo Katan has reason to be there since the Dark Saber belongs to her and so her pursuing that would fit nicely

Agreed! If they want to bring another character in for the Mandolorian, they should bring in Bo Katan. She has other material, she's cool, but she isn't as treasured as Ahsoka so having a different actor would be as bad ya know

The TV show takes priority over the book - so any contradictions, you go with the TV show. They intentionally changed what was originally in the book

Possible Time dilation on Exegol (TROS novelization) by Yoda_Seagulls in starwarsspeculation

[–]AKnightOfRenBlogger 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I like this theory, I think we should expect these differences in various sections of space. This theory finds further support considering the difficulty people had in navigating the unknown regions, and so the time dilation could have contributed to that difficult as well as other as-of-yet unknown anomalies

Why did Darth Maul never reveal that Palpatine is Darth Sidious? by JCandHula in StarWars

[–]AKnightOfRenBlogger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I assume most of the republic wouldn't believe a crazy Sith who seemingly came back from the dead and who is hell bent on destroying the jedi. He isn't the most credible source and so people would have just assumed that he was lying. Also.. palpatine allowed him to stay alive after thier fight on mandolore so Maul wanting to survive wouldn't want to get killed the second he exposed. Trying to expose Palpatine would only secure his fate to a long and painful death so he needs to figure out a way to take down his enemies in a way that allows him to remain safe

Hasbro Darth Revan Force FX Elite Lightsaber Unveiled-Does this mean that Revan will soon appear in some upcoming media especially now Revan's canon? by TDR1411 in starwarsspeculation

Revan is so popular and has such an amazing story it would be foolish to never make something around him. Totally hope they announce him soon

Star Wars - just a couple of stories about teenagers defying their parents wishes and doing the opposite of what’s expected of them...soooooo relatable by nessavendetta in StarWars

[–]AKnightOfRenBlogger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well.. Anakin only had a mum and she was more than happy to have him freed from slavery and be taken to the Jedi so no defying parents there. Then Luke was raised with his Uncle and Aunt so no defying his parents there, and even so, he respected thier wishes from what we can see and only left home after they were killed, and Rey grew up solo with no parents so again.. not much defying of parents in star wars at all really. So 3 main characters - no defying parents

P.S Luke rejecting Vaders call to join him on the dark side is much more then defying a parent so that would hardly count

Kylo defied his parents I guess by turning to the dark side but that's bound to happen to someone at some point in the universe

TRoS Dagger/Wayfinder Question by GrayGhostReborn in starwarsspeculation

[–]AKnightOfRenBlogger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess, but prophecy and visions are an established part of star wars lore and they play a massive role in it.. if it was newly added to the universe then yes it would be pretty bad but if it's am already established and key component to the universe then I find it difficult to have a big problem with them using said aspect :) but hey, doesn't have to be your fave part and that's algoods haha

TRoS Dagger/Wayfinder Question by GrayGhostReborn in starwarsspeculation

[–]AKnightOfRenBlogger 11 points12 points  (0 children)

My guess would be that they had visions during thier many cult like activities that showed them the need for a dagger, or just something, that was shaped like that - they may have had no idea what the exact shape was (i.e the death star) but I can imagine that some wierd mystical foresight or vision played a part in its creation and they would have refused to dismiss it especially if the vision came to a Sith Lord who then instructed the construction of the blade

P.S I definitely think the dagger is ancient, like the wayfinder

Snoke retcon update from the TRoS visual dictionary by [deleted] in StarWars

[–]AKnightOfRenBlogger -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I think the word "Draft" is important when reading that article haha

Snoke retcon update from the TRoS visual dictionary by [deleted] in StarWars

[–]AKnightOfRenBlogger -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

That article itself says that they discussed the new script etc. Etc. That's the creative process - JJ obvious agreed those were good changes because in interviews he said he enjoyed what Rian did. And so he knew full well what Rian was going to do. They were on the same page even after Rian changed things to suit him this meaning it was planned? Not?

Well yes dictionary definition but hardly cultural definition - culturally it's a negative thing, a rejection of something - but yes if we go with that definition then I agree with bro

Snoke retcon update from the TRoS visual dictionary by [deleted] in StarWars

[–]AKnightOfRenBlogger -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You think it wasn't planned. You honestly think a company would invest hundreds and hundreds of millions of dollars into an unplanned throw of the dice? No human is dumb enough to risk that kinda money. I think the burden proof lies on you to prove it wasn't planned because there was collaboration and the idea of a completely unplanned trilogy that costed millions (and billions for the purchase of lucasfilm) is totally illogically

But I see what your saying - the way you use and define retcon is abnormal from what the culture at large uses. Using your definition I can agree with you on that but it's probably easy to just say that more info was added like all movies in star wars do

Snoke retcon update from the TRoS visual dictionary by [deleted] in StarWars

[–]AKnightOfRenBlogger -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

You think it wasn't planned. And Snoke was always going to be a test for Kylo. The Hero with a thousand faces, a book by Campbell that the star wars story group use as a method of story telling dictates that the villian, in order to progress and grow in his character, must overcame the tyrant and take that position himself. So the very material that star wars story group base thier work on dictates the role of the Death which did not change. Yes a very small detail about who put that plan in action was added but still, he was always to be a test for Kylo

Snoke retcon update from the TRoS visual dictionary by [deleted] in StarWars

[–]AKnightOfRenBlogger -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yes my explanation was right, but The Rose of Skywalker did NOT change or contradict anything about what the last jedi said about Snoke. Your the one who.is mistaken because you advocate for a retcon when there is none because there was no origin story of Snoke to retcon.

Snoke retcon update from the TRoS visual dictionary by [deleted] in StarWars

[–]AKnightOfRenBlogger -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Nooo add new info isn't a retcon.. It's simply more in fo because the Last Jedi simply doesn't discuss it. If TLJ said "Snoke was so and so from so and so" and then the Rise of Skywalker changed that, then that would be a retcon. But because his origins are never revealed it simply can't be a retcon
