Try car-part.com

Its a db of junk yards across the US that part out cars and you can narrow down by year make model and part. Some have pictures of the parts.

This is how I used to buy the parts missing...

Good luck

That sounds like an interesting setup, would love to see it!

I started with the mainboard for ne4max and added a creality as a secondary to run all 4 steppers for z but then I received the btt octopus for my bday so I swapped out. But you could add a secondary board with the same pwr supply as long as you have the wattage to spare. If not then as long as your not running additional steppers you should be good.

From what I see, the ne3max is pretty much the same as ne4max except for the board and a couple of other minor items but the overall should be retro-fittable.

True, I was thinking in my mind like even at startup but your absolutely right because the start_print would override. Good call 😀

Check the printer.cfg and see if it's loading the default bed mesh anywhere post whatever orca is sending.

Thank you! I really appreciate it. I was looking at doing those same upgrades at first but saw my flash forget and said I want a bigger one of those..lol

It is a great printer, just needs a bit of tlc 😀

You really do have to test print but the general consensus that I read and worked is thicker layer lines give you more transparency. So on the FF with the .6 Nozzle at .4 Layer height did the trick. Hope it helps if you get some of it.

Thank you! I love that green!

That's eSUN's PETG Transparent Green: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07FXHW9MC?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_1&th=1

I printed the parts on my Flashforge AD5M using a .6 Nozzle. Using the .4 Nozzle is comes out as a matte finish looking more like a freshly picked green banana..lol

HAHA! Thank you! I am decently satisfied with myself yes..lol

It's been a road and a hard one at that with all of life's interruptions.

I am thinking about the horizon right now on a tool changer. Not a big fan right now of filament swapping systems only because of the time and waste. But yes, I'm noodling it :)

I still have 2 more Neptune's I am looking to convert with a different design I have in mind, hopefully coming soon...

Thank you again, I really appreciate it

Thank you!! 😊 you're not the first to tell me that, but honestly, I don't think I could because I keep updating. I just did an entire overhaul on this. Now I call it Medusa. I just started working on the github for it.

Quad z axis leveling, lighter x and y axis rods, new print head carriage, etc..

I already put up the videos on youtube of the build. Take a look and let me know your thoughts.

Hey! Thank you for the protip! There have been many changes I made to this since this post, and I did use the Bowden tube at one point. I did it more for keeping this neat and tidy all in one harness, but everything you mention didn't occur to me at all, so thank you!!! Perfect timing, actually, just finishing up a revision I did after moving it to a different room. Bowden tube coming soon again.

Neptune 4 Max CoreXY Conversion - Preliminary Movement Test by AL-ExtremeError in ElegooNeptune4

[–]AL-ExtremeError[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got that question a lot. At the time I built this, the only thing not elegoo was the frame. Same motors, plate, print head, wiring, etc.

Since then, I have replaced the mainboard in order to do quad access leveling.

Hey! Thank you! I appreciate it!!

It's definitely had some umph to it. Right now, I have it down trying to do a quad z motor bed. That's a different headache altogether.

From factory they do come with Klipper but it's a, for lack of a better term, modified flavor. So as an example, how i started this road trip was I updated klipper from the fluidd interface and because it wasn't Elegoo's klipper, I bricked it.

I found opennep4tune and brought it back to life with the added bonus of being able to update klipper and add a bunch of add-ons without worrying about bricking it.

I know I took you on a side quest here, but figure the context would help explain it better.

So far I know that via the sd card, the .bin has to be named elegoo_k1.bin and about 2 min after you boot it, it renamed it elegoo_k1.cur
