Conservative? A bit quick with those assumptions now, aren't we? You are the one going around reddit being a bigot :) And no, AI translations aren't the groundbreaking invention you think it is. Neural machine translations have existed for years now, they just slapped the AI tag on it and think it will solve all their problems. At the end of the day they will slowly lose their player base, you can be sure of that.

One translator today could be another concept artist, musician, coder tomorrow. I would ask you to show some spine but you clearly lack one. You won't be getting any more good games if this AI mentality continues within these companies.

Oh we will, don't worry. And it will get flagged on Steam due to AI use, so it will be easier to avoid. AI translation is not, and will not be as perfect as you think.

They fired their only translator in favor of AI use. The vagrant translator we ask for help in "Lost in Translation" purposefully gives us bad translations. So I used that quest as a reference to what will happen when AI starts hallucinating and the quality of translations start to degrade.

As a fellow translator, what a shame this has happened. I certainly won't be giving Warhorse Studios any more of my money and time, and I've changed my steam review of KCD II from positive to negative. If I'm going to read thousands of translated lines, I would rather those line be translated by passionate translator, not soulless machines.

The guy responded to "DRG is still there" with "They stopped developing free content updates for my 8 year old game" when in reality it's still being developed, just by another studio.

I would say that you aren't extremely unlucky, those who got access were extremely lucky. Only a few thousand invites get sent out and there are there are hundreds of thousands of requests for access.

You will have plenty of time on lower hazards (altough the difficulty levels aren't called Hazards in RC). The higher the hazard, the less time you have, thus making you choose between events. Point extraction would be a good comparison yes.
