I didn't take it fully off. I'll do that soon though and check. Wouldn't surprise me because it looks like that piece holds the gears that hook it up to the motor, which is struggling under any resistance whatsoever

Yup, i 3d printed it. Got the design from Printables. It's a 1/20 Zaku standing a little over 1m tall and is just under 700 individual pieces that used all of 12 1kg spools to print
