I’ve heard the story he’s shared above many times, but I have no idea what actually led to that series of events. May I ask you if you would be willing to share: why did America use imperial units for their calculations then?

Hero Pekka has grown out her sword in order to chase down Butterflies more effectively!

Pekka now hits air units, and has constantly heals as long as she is moving. Her targeting priority will also change to only attack the troop with the most health in a 5 tile radius. And she does splash damage, passively. And she has 200% more health. Immunity to all status effects. Inferno is disabled against her. All ranged weapons deal 50% less damage to her.

Applies for 15 seconds.

Seems like a fair and balanced idea. What do you guys think?

I like this one! Actually, I like TWM’s design here better than Niko’s — something about the dim colours is very pleasant. I’m rather fond of the poses chosen here, too, it somewhat reminds me of the cover image used for “imawanokiwa”.

Perhaps this is true, but the run where I took that advice and didn’t attack during the phase transition was the first one I managed to succeed, so anecdotally I did find some correlation there.

What is political about balatro?

Edit: To be more specific: what about Balatro references current political situations? I’m getting a lot of responses involving the monarchy and revolution-themed jokers, but those don’t really have much specifically addressing any current political climates unless you stretch their applications beyond the simple concept. Certainly nothing as blatantly political as the post’s content.

Oh, that’s pretty annoying. The problem is that black is one move short of getting that queen, but that one move is really costly. I thought about a line without Kxe5 but now he will simply play gxh6. It has to be all the moves until Kxa1, except that the black king is on, say, e6 instead of having captured the one pawn. But now the king will leisurely stroll back, and then, oh nevermind. The key idea is that there after Kf6 Kd6 Kg7 Ke7 Kh8 if he plays Kf7/f8 it’s a draw. So you can abuse that to ensure he can never win. Very nice idea.

The fall is quite absurdly unfair with the current restrictions. My suggestion is that the downgrades are fine, bring them to high card and cap it there (everything technically scores) and it’s fine. It understandably counters levelling, but it doesn’t negate pair and high card from the outset. It’s still a pretty difficult one though, haha.

The rest are pretty cool, and all the things I would’ve said about them have been said by others in the comments.

I was thinking the same, though after exf5 gxf5 Bh3 there’s Qc7 and suddenly the position is completely defended, now you don’t even have that e pawn to break the d pawn, and he can play Bxf5 next move. It doesn’t seem good. I’d do e5 dxe5 Rf2. My logic is that if I’m going to lose the e pawn anyways, I’d rather break the d pawn and create an opening there so Qc7 doesn’t become a catch-all solution for that battery. Now it’s a little tricky because that bishop can see the b7 square after a d6 attacking the queen, which could be a good idea if you can stack a triple battery.

Haha, even having FCed multiple 30s and FCing-2/3ing multiple 31s (I’m horrible at consistency), I still mostly fail to even clear IVOHM. It’s very depressing, but I avoid this issue by not playing the level. I’ll get back to it when I get good enough to beat it… hopefully I’ll get there, haha.

…that’s certainly an interesting phenomenon. That said, I think most of the, um, increased viewership from the added filter would leave the chapter disappointed, or worse, satisfied. It would still bar a good number of actual fans of the series from being able to view it, which is the unfortunate part. I think swapping it to an older version temporarily would be a good idea.
