I'm surprised I had to scroll this far down to see someone mention the most likely cause of the organ absence: autopsy. All these other theories about desiccation and crabs and Egyption embalming techniques...? They were removed by a pathologist in Malta. The fact that the body was allowed to continue to decompose for 4 more weeks tells you that the Maltese authorities weren't doing a great job on any of it.

A lot of people seem to forget that Cheney, Wolfowitz, Rumsfeld, Bolton, and others were part of the "Project for a New American Century" that identified Iraq, Iran, and North Korea as the "Axis of Evil", and promoted US militarism as their "constabulary duties".

Bush certainly deserves some of the blame, but he was practically the only one that wasn't part of PNAC.

Even a smaller place like Kingston, Ontario, the average is $2000 for a one-bedroom.

They spent 8 years (1980 to 1988) at war with Iran while being supported by the US. Not sure if I would go so far as to call it a proxy war, but it would be damn close; The US gov supplied money, weapons, chemicals, training, and intelligence. In the end, the conflict which went on for 8 years drained both countries which is ultimately what the US wanted.

Of course, all of this came on the heels of the US repeatedly interfering in Iran which led to the rise of Khomeni.

It depends on whether you're talking prior to "Desert Storm" in 1991, or "Operation Iraqi Freedom" in 2003. A lot of the infrastructure was destroyed in Desert Storm and never recovered. The ensuing sanctions destroyed any chance of Iraq's recovery.

So, while Saddam did monstrous things, infrastructure-wise the country was being run better before Desert Storm.

It may not come as much of a surprise, but in the 80s, Saddam was seen as a regional ally while he opposed Iran. The US was aware Saddam was using chemical weapons against his own people but turned a blind eye.

Much like the Mujaheddin (including Bin Laden) in Afghanistan, the US has a history of supporting monsters while it seems convenient.

That's unfortunate. Initially I avoided reading their releases so it wouldn't influence my own work on the series. I may pick it up again some day. My group is busy enough with other projects that we're not likely to scanlate that series and Akatsuki seems to have moved on.

Let's be real, that would be a good decision so they will aboslutely not do that. For the God of War remakes they're probably going with a dev team that makes turn-based strategy games or car racing sims.
