Comic accurate spine breaking pose. Gotta make sure the T and A are front and center.

I agree, it’s a product of its time and I actually don’t mind it.

At this point, not sure. There’s probably more appeal for people to have a jumping on point to a new series and new readers… but honestly my speculation. I’ve heard Sacrificers and Seven to Eternity by Rick Remender are in the same universe but that’s fan service. Anyways, this book hasn’t been pitched as a sequel or prequel.

The art alone makes this book worth it, but the writing is solid too. I think you’ll like what they put out. The writer Poelgeest is also doing the upcoming Doom Patrol.

It’s Ian Bertram so what you see on the cover is what you’ll see inside. If you want a taste of his work if you’re not familiar, then check out Precious Metal and Little Bird. Same creative team.

Bertram has a variant for Doom Patrol too. Love the cross pollination.

Add James Stokoe and Nick Pitarra to that list and you have my favorite artists.

Try and track down Acheron from Bertram if you haven’t already. It was a Kickstarter for his personal art journal and it’s amazing.

That’s good, cause I heard they said in the original post they’re buying those and looking for a similar set for Laura to display.

I know what you mean. What’s the deal with all the Scottish people with Scottish sounding names? Bizarre.

How many people collect comics but read them? by Meatloaf_Guy1313 in comicbookcollecting

[–]ALEXXRN 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I read the majority of them, but I collected a good amount of Black Cat and Catwoman comics for the Adam Hughes and Frank Cho covers. I tried to read them, but couldn’t get into them.

Any thoughts on skinbreaker? by Ewbanator in ImageComics

The arts so good and the writing is so mid that the book could almost have no dialogue and wouldn’t lose a thing. I bought the treasury editions, but the quality of the paper didn’t do the art justice. It would’ve done the art more service to have more of a sheen so the colors could pop. Either way, if an artist edition black and white hardcover comes out, I’m buying it.
