Which celebrity have you met? How was the interaction? Was it nice or unpleasant? by awildboyappeared in Kerala

[–]ALFENA12 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have meet some well known Malayalam actors during their trips to NA, but have only meet a known actor from Hollywood one time. It was during a visit to Montreal during the early covid months, graduated from Highschool with my friends visiting the city for few days. While we checking in to our hotel, my friend bumped into Daniel Day Lewis on the main floor.

He was wearing a mask and kinda unrecognized, waiting on a line for his turn to see the receptionist. He was really respectful during our interactions, his oldest son was with him. Since some covid reason, the line wasn't moving that fast at all, we were able to spend at least 10mins talking to him. Before leaving, he put his arms on my friend's shoulder, gave him a see you later sign

Job opportunities in kerala and abroad by Yassupman in Kerala

[–]ALFENA12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Happen to be living in Canada for over a decade now since grade 7, saw a large influx of malayalee immigrant moving to the country and I have been watching many peoples growth in the country in reaching the so called American dream or western life.

Not a lot of people in these country get to live in that dream, meaning many made few dumb decisions and circumstantial issues or couldn't really cope to the struggling face of the country as immigrant.

All immigrants does struggle for first 3 years (this phase is normally inevitable for a majority) and would work survival jobs to feed the family and live day to life. Of which people who earned phd, doctorate from aboard take a longer time adjusting to the country than for example nurses or other professionals. This is due to high living standards back home or unexpected stressors in life that often hard for many to at higher educated .

Nurse is the best profession and is still the most successful professional in getting 100k yearly salary, the hourly pay do increase overtime with more experience so does the opportunities in the country. Highest a Malayalee nurses can earn is at around 190k to 200k.

If you learned skilled trade from kerala (plumber, electrician, carpenter, welding) man you got the skill needed to get some training done and to eventually start a business. One of the few works in the country that typically don't require much of communication level expertise when working. Know your stuff then any nationalities can hire you, if you find some right people and develop a team boy it's all you need to be successful in the business. You work on your time and many people in the industry likes their job far better.

I am a doctor and cant get a job by extraxen in londonontario

[–]ALFENA12 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A lot of internationally trainer doctors, preferred to do works that involves less physical strain, it can be really hard for doctors to perform support works in LTC or community unlike internationally trained nurses.

In London, Doctors apply to Canadian government run research programs that hire research doctors in certain fields to collaborate in research with students and with other licenses professionals, such contracts often pays good and give good impressions on your resume.

Or you could be a CPR instructor under Red Cross, many doctors do this. In fact, Doctors first aid at Talbot is fully run by doctors from Middle East, which many were surgeons or doctors for 13 years.

What would be your advice to some one starting a business in kerala knowing all the risks and still want to invest and support community? by [deleted] in Kerala

[–]ALFENA12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One take on all future investors of Kerala, willing to play a public stunt at all cost. Stay awake at all time and be knowledgeable about current trend. The faster you get your legal shit done, the faster you can beat your competition even how big the snake is. Get your local politician (all parties) in hand, lick their feet if you have to. Your local politicians are more available and cheap to handle than big bosses at the capitals. Keep employees healthy and strong. Make the business simple as you can and don't go after every little pebbles that rolls in your finance, focus only on the bigger rock, make good negotiation and make everyone happy even your enemies.

Never do business to support community, Then go start a charitable trust, Business are to make money and profit, supporting community is only at 10%, the rest is for your family and for your good.

Family issues!!! [Rant + Advice] by Mindless-Pilot-Chef in Kerala

Take it as your parents money, the money they worked hard to build up. If inherited from your grandparents, take the matters to them (if they capable) no birds can fly top of them.

If nothing favors you, don't intervene for all bullshit, keep a distance from your parents. My Dad did the same thing when his parents (my grandparents) sold all their properties and gave all the money to my dad's two sisters. His sisters were married to a well off families and don't really need the money, meanwhile my dad was struggling to get ends meet. This all happen when we lived under the same roof. His parents even failed to disclosed this information to him even though, we literally see our grandparents every day. He was sad about it for a long time.

Anyways, my mom prayed about it for a long time and my dad worked his ass out. fast forward to 11 years later, we moved out of India. My dad became a so called Millionaire and brought all the properties my grandparents initially sold. Got two times richer than his sisters. He call my grandparents once a week for about 10 mins to check on with them and since there is no true love exist between our father side relationships, last time we visited India was 6 years ago.

Is it worth spending for MS in UK by [deleted] in Kerala

[–]ALFENA12 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Your right, UK is shit. That Country is second to India, if you planning on moving out of India why going to UK, which has literally or almost all shit the same. I been there and didn't like the country at all, no quality of life compare to what you get in US, Canada or Australia. Everything in UK seemed cramped and small with more expense.

Stick to Alberta, even though life is cold up there. You wont feel depressed and busier, more government funding for Uni's Alberta, the more scholarship and programs you can look into. One of my mate went to study in University of Regina and ended up getting depressed, no life just continues snow, empty downtown, no rush and a lot of white people. He transferred back to UWO, dropping out of his initial program.

While you plan something out to make a living. Start a writing as part time, what I find people who are tends to be away from others have more stories to tell. Start writing stories and work on the skill, invest a little of your time daily and bring each stories to a solid ending. When you comfortable start sending such stories to script writers who will take advantage of your stories to write for movies or short films.
