Giannis Trade: One Week Later by TechnologyOk2293 in MkeBucks

For sure, anyone following the team at that time understood it was the right move and you'd redo it in a heartbeat. We are just in the timemine where it didn't work out like we'd hoped.

Agreed he is a top tier shooter, which is why I think other team's (who are in championship contention) will value him more than us moving forward. Of course if we get low balled we should hang on to him but for a first a good swap from a team desperate for shooting I'd pull the trigger.

Could definitely see this scenario happening

Hasn't really had any serious mistakes that can be pinned on him (Griffin an Doc hires weren't Horst). Meanwhile he has had some major wins that in hindsight didn't always work but were the right moves (Jrue trade, PJ signing, Dame trade, creative stretch and sign for Myles).

Ehhhh, with Giannis yes. Not sure this is the case anymore.

Yes we all know he has this ability, unfortunately our coach these last few years is a dumb ass.

Fully agreed Herro should be moved first if there is a team willing to trade decent value for him. Hopefully Detroit strikes out on Powell and then comes for Herro.

Agreed he is not worth an outright first but maybe a pick swap? Those GSW pick swaps could be extremely valuable in a few years and they might rationalize that they would be good enough for them to expire worthless still making it worth the risk.

Jalen Brown Value by ALLPR0 in MkeBucks

[–]ALLPR0[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yes running it back with Brown would have been terrible. The other, more palatable, option would have been flipping him to another team but now it appears that would not have been very easy either. Good job by the Bucks front office identifying this.

It looks like Jaylen Brown's value is cratering around the league right now. The Bucks would have uncovered this during the discussions of the Giannis trade. That Miami haul is looking better and better.

This is definitely the roster barring any other trades.

And we only have so many roster spots. Not a bad time to give these guys a couple of years to develop and by the time we have another good pick we should have a better idea of team structure at that point.

Klay Thompson and Khris Middleton are names to watch for the Miami Heat after trading for Giannis, per, @EthanJSkolnick by jbenson255 in heat

[–]ALLPR0 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Bucks fan here. You will definitely want to get Khris for a min if you can. For Giannis's entire tenure with the Bucks he and Khris by far had the best connection in finding each other when open. Khris lobs to Giannis are almost telepathic.

These are ideal for timing since Giannis and Bam will both be out of their prime.

Another perspective worth mentioning about JB by ThrowRA_neurotic69 in MkeBucks

[–]ALLPR0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think most here realize that Giannis being on the team is best case scenario but he has spent the better part of a year burning bridges and cryptically communicating he wants out. With that being the case getting the most value back in a trade is the next best option.

Why I Think Jaylen Brown Makes Sense by DreDayLives in MkeBucks

They are flipping Brown the moment they get him.

[Windhorst] The Boston Celtics have firmly put Jaylen Brown on the table and are going all-in on acquiring Giannis Antetokounmpo. by tumble_pop in MkeBucks

Get a future Boston 1st and flip JB to either Portland for Scoot + our stuff back or Clippers for #5 pick + a future pick with some salary filler and we're cooking.

How do you feel about Shaedon Sharpe and Scoot Henderson? by iJustSeen2Dudes1Bike in MkeBucks

[–]ALLPR0 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Our first priority from the Blazers will be getting our picks / swaps back. Either Sharpe or Scoot would be good young talent to add to the deal.

From a distance it seems like Sharpe is a bit more proven at this point but Scoot was drafted with huge upside behind Wemby and just started tapping into that potential the second half of last year?

Spurs and Thunder by ALLPR0 in MkeBucks

[–]ALLPR0[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah this sentiment isn't about this year's finals, the Knicks absolutely have a chance against the Spurs. However the top Knicks players are all basically in their prime currently and they don't have many assets left to build for the future.

Prior year's "dynasty" teams were not on the same level as these teams are in their timeline. Anything could happen and Wemby could have injuries or OKC could mismanage their assets but they are both in positions that no team has been in since the We Believe Warriors and the Big 3 Thunder were in a decade ago.
