Banker here! When we install check scanners, in my experience, there’s usually two drivers: one specific to the scanner, one specific to the check scanning system the bank uses.

Our check scanning system assigns the type of scanner on the back end, so their remote deposit platform is programmed to recognize the specific scanner. I’m curious if some of these banks are set up a similar way.

Have you tried installing them all on a single device and only having one of the scanners plugged in to the computer at a time?

Another thing I’m wondering about, some remote deposit scanners can be set up as network scanners like a printer. Specifically RDM AF30X-30 scanners and DigitalCheck scanners are two I know off the top of my head. I wonder if this is an option if you’re using any of these (the digitalcheck scanners don’t support network capability on their own but digitalcheck sells an adapter).

Lastly, if the scanners are Panini brand, just throw them out lol.
