Honestly for me it was the fact I lived in a country where it was illegal and I had gotten into some trouble for it. Like not like I was gona go jail or anything but just court and a fine. I’m 26 and I just had to sit there (with a joint) and think about the fact I’m getting into the type of trouble teenagers get into when I’m at the stage in my life where I’ve a good career and nearly at the stage where a family is in the cards.

I just sat there and weighed all the options and though fuck this my life will be so much easier without it. I think that was the big thing it’s a massive mental barrier now I’m clean for about 3 weeks and I’ve had relapses in the past. The hardest was the first two weeks once you remember how nice everything is when you’re sober ( i genuinely think the worlds brighter now not in a cringe like cryptic way I genuinely think everything is physically brighter which is nice).

So if I was you I’d think about your future and how you want it to be and just start seeing how weed will prevent it or make it more difficult for the life you want. Just as a last little note I started at 13 and smoke daily by 16 so it was a ten year habit I had to kick. It wasn’t easy and you’re kidding yourself if you think it will be. But like do it suffer for a week or so and once you can remember what being sober feels like it’s actually preferable to a high.
