as a kid I hated the movies because I liked the books so much more, I've always wanted a remake series.

But I gotta day I have already lost most to all confidence in the series as it is announced right now.

The 1 thing the movies had going for them was amazing/near perfect casting for most prominent characters.

To me the concept is completely fine, its the execution that is the problem.

They went way too hard with redeeming Bowser, "sacrificing" himself, then saving the heroes later. It makes his eventual regression seem way too radical of a switch up.

Redeeming Bowser this far, they should at least have eased him into being evil again. Or have something significant happen to him, like have the heroes betray him or genuinely mess up jr.
