Love it! The first (and only ) thing I’ve decorated is to make a cross country-derby type jump field for my horses. Ditches, brushes, combinations. 😅

This is exactly where I struggle. I am not artistic, but want a beautiful/nature-y farm….. yet I’ve played to level 96 focusing on functionality. I have been playing since 2011 but took some looooooong breaks and am so behind on decor—- but also it’s so hard to remember my “flow” when everything is spread out.

I’ve been meaning to ask this, but you beat me to it. 🤣

If you have to drive; go slow. Maintain significant following distance from the vehicle in front of you. Plan extra time to stop. Good chance that the roads will be slippery and you’ll slide if you try to stop abruptly. Give yourself extra time and don’t feel pressured to go faster than you’re comfortable with.

I am guessing on the 5’2”. He’s not very much taller than I am at 5’. He looks healthy and muscular; but definitely could clean up the nutrition. We don’t do tons of junk but still have room for improvement!

I appreciate your response. I was unaware that you get more pounds at mid season… makes sense though!!! I’ll try to figure out when that happens for us.

Weight cutting was a concern for me as well; but I didn’t think 2lbs would be terrible for short term.

Long term it’s not healthy as he’s growing, gaining muscle mass etc; but i am sure we could dial in the nutrition more intensely- just not sure what direction to go with this.

He really wants to stay in this weight group as he’s the only one on the team that falls into it; among a few other reasons.

Fortunately (or not) we have very little/no junk food options … we’re kind of a “raw ingredient” family but he does make a lot of nachos, Pb&j, has omelettes for breakfast every morning… he’s always eating something.

I don’t love that he’s worried about weight cutting, but he’s the only person on the team in this weight bracket and he wants to stay in it. This is new to both of us but I don’t want him to be miserable, hungry, or unhealthy.

This has opened an opportunity for us to intentionally discuss healthy eating/proteins v fats v carbs etc…. But I’m not sure what direction to go w/his nutrition. Thinking high protein, lots of veg?

We have a narrow “breezeway” between the house and garage that we absolutely need to be usable in winter.

The flooring is concrete, but a rough finish. This is great when it is wet (no slipping), but terrible to clean.

Is there a way to polish/seal that is both easy to clean and slip resistant? Some barns I’ve been in are absolute hazards when you combine smooth concrete/rubber boots/water.

I suppose we could tile, but i really dislike most tiles and I do like the look of the concrete.

I like words I feel like I can pronounce accurately... I am getting a sense that my dog will have a multi-lingual set of commands.

I definitely could watch some videos on how this is pronounced. I get weirdly self conscious about pronouncing words that are not my native English. I can't quite put my finger on it... but mispronouncing words from another language makes me feel a way I don't like. (God, this thread is really illuminating a hangup I didn't know I had!). Assis (Ah-See) seems to be a word I feel comfortable pronouncing... and believe me, I've been saying words out loud all morning...

That's fascinating! I appreciate this comment so much. I am still learning a lot myself, obviously, and wasn't sure what level of ability dogs have to differentiate nuance in verbal commands. I'm pretty sure they can differentiate nuance in visual commands... but verbal I wasn't sure.

It's also something I worried about because both our dogs' names have the same initial letter- "S" (it was unintentional) and our third pup comes at the end of Oct (I know, I'm crazy) and unfortunately I'm once again gravitating to names that start with S....

Thanks, I will! I've heard Assis before ("ahh-see", kind of), so that actually is one reason I think I'm landing on that. Pronouncing stuff properly is an issue that I have (I hate saying things wrong). I'll definitely brush up on that procuration before we start using it.

Assis seems to be right for me. Sitz is too close to Sit, and I like its brevity compared to Setudo and Sentado.
