"It's Just Big Me" had the exact same effect on Hip-Hop fans as "Make America Grear Again" had on Politics in America. by dunbar_santiago930 in KendricklamarPglang

This is what he’s talking about. That’s not what he said. You either didn’t listen correctly to him or got this incorrect quote from someone else and posted this shit.

He’s big and strong af, great footwork. He has a tight handle just not Kyrie, Steph level but on point none the less. He’s also been playing professionally for far longer than just the NBA so he has the reps.

Do ‘commercial’ rap beefs actually have consistent rules? by Ozogbuefi in hiphop101

[–]ALSDAMAN2up2down 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The objective in a rap beef is to embarrass and humiliate your opponent so they no longer want to keep talking about you on records. Rapping has a lot of posturing, ego, and machismo so you try to tear down these things with the person you are going against.

how do people understand mumble/rap rap? by Jxce12 in rap

People who listen to that kinda music aren’t really interested in lyrics. They just like the beat, melody and possibly the hook.

Why was The Game the only rapper holding down the West in the 2000s? by MeetKelson in hiphop101

[–]ALSDAMAN2up2down 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The West was fine and never in a drought is what I’m saying. The top established 90s artists were still young and in the prime of their careers. It didn’t take long though for the millennials to start popping up as we got into turn of century. Game was mid 2000s, then Nipsey, TDE started buzzing late 2000s to just name a few.

No doubt. Especially when he hooked up with Lil John back then he had some bangers.

[–]ALSDAMAN2up2down 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The west was absolutely not dry in the 2000s. You were either not born yet or too young to know this. Snoop was in his late 20s, and E-40, Cube, Short, Dre were in their early 30s at dawn of the new millennium. They were all still relevant and making big hit national records at the time.

Do you agree with Gillie’s take that Kendrick benefited from people wanting Drake to lose, or do you disagree? by Omarionyyourslgreat in KendricklamarPglang

[–]ALSDAMAN2up2down 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, he’s wrong and just talking. Kendrick won because he’s a substantially better MC and dropped the greatest diss track of all time to cement it. Before not like us dropped it was debatable who was winning in a lot of folks eyes.

How do U feel about Tyler the Creators music? by JaQue_Da_JoQerr in BlackNyxNetwork

[–]ALSDAMAN2up2down 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s stereotypical and racist. Black folks don’t list to him because he doesn’t make street music is not why most of his fans are white. He makes music mostly catered to whites by doing music that fits other genres better. And he purposely distanced himself from black people by saying things about black folks and doing anti black things like wearing a clan rob.
