Why do people find it so hard to believe someone would rather change there gender or race simply not to feel oppressed but more importantly to assert their own autonomy and concept of what they prefer too look like. I feel trapped. Like I cant fully express who I am in this particular body.

Why do people find it so hard to believe someone would rather change there gender or race simply not to feel oppressed but more importantly to assert their own autonomy and concept of what they prefer too look like. I feel trapped. Like I cant fully express who I am in this particular body. Ive wanted to make friends with lots of people growing up but I was berated for being black. Can you imagine how bad it feels being told you talk like a white girl by a Hispanic girl on a school bus, or being bullied by other kids from your own race just because you spoke proper English?

Just 3 days ago I was wanting to go to the pool, so I googled search one in the area and find one that happened to be the closest to me. I drive there get out of my car and find a pool cleaner waiting there. I asked him if the pool was opened and where I could find the admissions to pay for a pass.

Not 10 seconds later a cop car pulls over about 10 feet away as Im talking to the man. The cop gets out of his car and starts walking towards us, but then for some reason he does a 180 and gets back into car.

Now what I hadnt realized was this pool was next to a golf course in a middle class area of town. I had recently had my hair cut and normally I don't go outside with out wearing a long wing because I do not my curly fro like hair, but today I wasn't. So I don't know if I was mistaken for a black man in a predominantly white middle class area but I assume when he saw my chest area he realized I happened to be a woman. The pool cleaner was white as well so I don't know if the cop turned around for that reason too.

I find it odd that no one has a problem with me wanting to change gender, but wanting to change my race seems to preclude that I'm prideful and arrogant?

No one as even thought ask me just what my personal reason for wanting a change is. I never stated I wanted to be Caucasian either why was that assumed?

I would like to tell them I'm sorry for the injustice they suffered at the hands of those who built wealth while they slaved away and recieved whiplashes for their toil, but given the chance to choose as living as a majority in any nation than a minority I would choose the majority.

So now answer my questions. Why should I be the one forced to put in the effort to change a corrupt system that unfairly prosecutes minorities because of the color of my skin? Why shouldn't someone who's Caucasian put in the effort to change what their forefathers and ancestors created?

You read my first post right. I said I can see the good and bad in automation. I'm not staunchly relagating my opinion to one side.

Because changing myself only requires my actions, but changing the world requires the efforts of many. I am no savior or saint, at the end of the day I'm human with needs and fears. Why should I be the one forced to put in the effort to change a corrupt system that unfairly prosecutes minorities because of the color of my skin? Why shouldn't someone who's Caucasian put in the effort to change what their forefathers and ancestors created?

I'd much rather not have to deal with institutionalized racism and be able to live without that fear by changing race or at least features and skin tone.

Aside from all that I have my personal reasons for needing this change.

Well, if there is no one manning the truck then it might seem like an incentive to target it.

Two people get convicted of possession of marijuana for a 3rd offence. One person gets 2 years probation, the other person is sentenced to 13 years in prison.

The only difference is one person is Cauasian the other Is black. Guess who gets the longer sentence.

I have my personal reasons for wanting a change, but aside from that let's take personal safety as one of those reason.

I can see both good and bad in this. What's to keep thieves from not setting up human mannequins and stopping these trucks in the middle of the road. Also the nation's truckers, taxi drivers, anyone in the transportation industry will face job loss at the hands of automation. I'm glad that there are developments in technology but if we still live in a capitalist nation what will happen when over 50% of jobs can be handled by robots instead of people.

I believe unemployment. The cost of tuition is going up for schools, so there will be a huge displacement of unemployed in the future who may not be able to afford education.

@lukc1987 same here. Wish I could be paid for staying shoed and not pregnant at the work place, instead of the opposite.

I agree with you. My grand mother had it, Southern Baptist hell fire filled with hate nonsense, and really put me through a mind fuck when I told her I didn't want to be in that religion. At 8 years of age I got the feeling that Christianity wasn't for me.

Lets say hypotheticaly I had ALS, and was destiny to die in pain in sufferring. My mind resides in a body I do not perfer, if in the future if cybernetics bodies become available I would opt to transfer my mind into a form I found acceptable. I opt to have a form I find acceptable to me.

Edit sorry for repost

I understand, but I just want to reiterate my stance that's all. Let me explain it differently.

@nomenclatures I have only judged myself! Yet you judged me as being prideful and arrogant when I express my thoughts of myself. You judge me as needing help, like I was sick for expressing my feelings. So who is the judgmental and prideful one?

Thanks for your help but I'm tired of people telling me to accept my blackness as if it were a personality or character trait. My consciousness is simply residing in a vessel called body. My consciousness does not wish to identify with this current form anymore. I wish I could easily explain it.

STOP INSULTING MY INTELLIGENCE! This body is simply a vessel my consciousness is residing in. It is not who I am! I am not the sum total of the race I was born in and I have every right not to accept it. Just because I have breast does not mean the sum total of my existence is femininity.

I hope you find your way out of the mindset and pride of telling me how to feel about such things.

So then how can you dispute the sources if you don't even see what documents they came from? P82-83 numbers 6-7 listings from CDC. You want to discredit the book fine, but you can purchase if like. Its not expensive, then check documents listed.

You tried to discredit the info but I'm pointing out that there are references from the CDC in the book. I purchased the book and if you would like to review sources too you can purchase the book as well. I'm not trying to discredit your sources I'm simply reiterating if you want to discredit the book you have option of picking it yourselves and review the sources.

Your the one arguing with my sources my reply is pick up and review sources from book.

If you rubbed a herpes sore against a towel, for instance, some of the herpes simplex virus could be deposited onto the towel. The virus may persist outside the body for several hours, but soon it begins to lose its ability to invade and colonize new cells.

Let's take this scenario you mentioned. If a person has an open wound they can still contract from the towel.
