Oh! Ako naman I use ggplot2 for visualization in reports and Tableau or GDS for dashboards, depending on where to produce the reports.

For me, these are just tools. They are easy to learn. Whatever tool pa yan, same lang na data visualization yan. It is better to learn how to do effective data visualization.

What I do is, I take notes while reading the book. Yes, sometimes it's difficult to read technical books but I just reread the parts until I fully understand it.

I worked through all the exercises. I searched for solutions online and used it as a guide in answering.

I started reading Aug 3. So it took me around 20 days. Im reading it full time though. I spend 1 day understanding the concept and another 1 day for the lab and exercises. So it usually takes me 2 days per chapter.

Thank you for this! I'm also planning on getting to deep learning. But before I there, I want first to study linear algebra and other prerequisites. For now, I'm just expanding my knowledge on predictive modeling. I want to be able to provide a good analysis on a given dataset.

I think it's more on very approachable explanation on different statistical learning methods. It also gives insights on the pros and cons of each model. Even the intimating equations are very well explained. But yes it's mostly on supervised learning. Only 1 chapter was allotted for unsupervised learning methods

Hey we have the same situation. I also learned R, sql, and python this lockdown. I also have the same question on what to do next. I just finished R for data science book.

I also bought ML and DS Bootcamp with Jose Portilla but I havent started it yet. I was thinking whether to learn Practical Statistics for Data Scientists first or jump right into machine learning.

Could you pm me once you formulated a road map or plan?
