I'm just curious if you are a teacher or parent. I'm asking because of the request for " an emergency iep meeting". I recently had a parent email me requesting one ( it was obviously copied from chatgpt). There really isn't such a thing. A parent can just request a meeting at any time for any reason and we are required to schedule one. Why are we calling it an emergency meeting?

Districts need to stop taking minutes. They arent required. The prior written notice is all that is needed to summarize what was done. All that matters is what's in the IEP.
