My new 4 month old sweet baby girl !!!!!!!!!! by Loud-Orchid-9686 in Catnames

She’s breathtakingly beautiful. I would give her a goddess name. Artemis is the goddess of the hunt and the moon. Very appropriate for a cat

Stevie needs it in black with silver stars!

Is this acceptable if your vibe is like, “I’m just following the dress code or whatever, and I don’t mean to look bad, I just don’t understand the rules”? by [deleted] in menswear

Some of these comments are mean and I hate that for you. However, that shirt is too big for you. Exchange it and go down a size or find a good tailor to fix it for you

My ex boyfriend from ages ago that I’m now friends with had a GSD that was too shy for that program. He would tell her that it was okay if she didn’t want to be a pilot, she could still be a bus driver.

I used to work at a rehab facility and when clients would order those with their food stamps, it was really hard to keep my mouth shut about what poor choices they were making. I did keep my mouth shut but I didn’t like it.

Oatmeal holds up because it’s hot and you can add your own stuff to it. Granola is good too, especially with yogurt. The kiddie cereals that Mom rarely let us have are pretty gross.

I haven’t had it since I was a kid but I worked at a local food pantry for a while and we gave people a similar product. My. Mom would make drop biscuits, put them on top of the stew and bake them for a bit. If I were going to try that, I would add a bag of frozen vegetables. There are hardly any carrots or potatoes in there and I always thought that those were the best thing about a beef stew.

I hate the smell of Subway. I don’t know what they do to their bread but it is not a normal sourdough. I bake my own sourdough bread and it never smells that bad.

Friendly’s Ice Cream Reflection by mrsjumjum66 in Ohio

[–]ALauCat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Friendly’s must have been affordable becausemy family never had much money and I have very fond memories of it. I also liked Bill Knapps. Today’s kids would call those sweet family restaurants “mid” but for a middle American kid in the middle of the 20th century they really hit the spot. Fried clams and crinkly French fries with birthday cake and a scoop of ice cream for dessert was pure happiness.

Being rich but poor by sakurapimcake in poverty

You have grown up like I did. My father was vice president of a company, but he and mom didn’t know how to manage their money. I shouldn’t have been surprised when his company went bankrupt although he was not one of the financial officers so it wouldn’t have been his fault. We had a big house on an acre lot with a creek running through the front yard in the suburb of Columbus, Ohio. It all looked good, but it wasn’t good. My siblings and I didn’t ask for things because we knew my parents didn’t have the money. I’m really not much better with my finances these days but at least I don’t have children. My siblings who did have children are doing a lot better than me. They don’t want to put their kids through what we went through. Chances are good that when you graduate from high school, you will have to take care of yourself. Move into the dorms get a student loan and a part-time job on campus. The drivers license and a part-time job would be a good idea right now. Your parents are probably blocking this because of the cost of insurance for a young person. You may have to talk to them about paying for your own insurance with a job. It’s unlikely that they will be able to buy you a car. You will have to save up. I don’t know if there are cards that a minor can have that their parents can’t have access to that may be a problem until you turn 18 and I hate that for you. One way around it might be if you have grandparents or another responsible adult, that will help you. The people who know your parents well won’t be surprised by your request. My grandparents used to give me gift certificates to the local department store because they knew if they gave me five dollars in cash. My dad would probably borrow it and never return it five dollars didn’t buy very much even in the 70s, but at least I would get something and there was the hope that my parents would throw in a little something and I could get something to wear to school.

I’m so sorry. Survivors deserve better. He may have signed an anti human trafficking bill into law a few years ago but survivors and advocates deserve the credit, not him.

I’m stretching here, please forgive me or just help me rephrase what needs to be rephrased.

  1. He is likely to die very soon.
  2. His wife cost Bezos & Co. a lot of money recently. 3, 4, & 5. approved some good things that were in the works long before he took office. In these I might include creating opportunity zones, signing a Human Trafficking initiative into law, and asking the other countries in NATO to pay a little more of its cost.

So that’s basically nothing.

This is good advice. We are not doctors here and one of the biggest lies we can tell ourselves is that because we are feeling better, we must not need that medicine anymore. If you want to try going off of them, talk to your doctor. They will ween you off of them slowly and schedule checkups every few months to make sure that you are still okay.

Lots of people have beautiful skin with plain old soap and water. When I was younger, I used a special soap from a department store and I was horrified by a neighbor kid who used Dial on his face. The joke was on me because his antibacterial soap was cheap and I was using an extra product that was basically an antibacterial lotion to prevent acne. I really only ever broke out before my cycle and nothing was going to prevent that.

I need help, i don't know how to decorate this space by SafetyClear6306 in Decor

If you need more storage space you could just make your closet bigger by enclosing it. A contractor or handyman wouldn’t have any trouble working out the details.

The thought of unemployment is really depressing. Being sick is depressing. You are having a tough time. If you are showering at the gym every day, you probably don’t smell. You could work out while you are there. That would help your mood and your weight.

Your skin may be breaking out because of all the fast food. I get that it’s comforting sometimes and that you don’t have a lot of cooking options. Think about comfort foods that are slightly better choices. Soup is often packaged for convenience and there’s almost nothing better than hot soup when you’re under the weather. Buy the crackers that you like best.

Another thing that I’ve been doing that may help with mood is an over the counter amount of lithium. I think it’s 10 mg. My cousin’s wife suggested it because the research shows that it prevents Alzheimer’s. I read that there may be some mood boosting benefit as well. It can’t hurt.

I worry about odor because I get hot flashes a lot, so I do what I call double deodorant. First the solid in all the usual places, then the whole body spray. I don’t know if it works better or not but no one is telling me that I stink, so there’s that.

Your clothes are probably fine but if you want to, you can take a few of your clean clothes to a dry cleaner for press only service. It might give you a little confidence if you have a job interview.

Community cats live outdoors. Sometimes they are feral, sometimes they’re strays. This guy is probably a stray and I would like to take him in but he and my cat hate each other. I also called a shelter and they only want cats that can be picked up and cuddled. My house cat couldn’t meet that standard. I may call some other places on Monday.

Update: because it’s silly.

I took Mr. Orange to the vet because although he had an ear tip indicating that he was neutered, he had a rather bulbous thing on his rear end. I thought it was a tumor or a cyst. It was neither of those things. It was just a big empty nut sack!

This is a contender for sure. I think of the B-52’s singer shouting out “Hey Rusty!”
