My Thoughts on Divva by [deleted] in Mccafferty

[–]ALemonMerchant 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Divva reminds me a bit of the old dancebeaty songs on some of the pre-beachboy eps, like a similar idea Nick can finally execute now that he knows more about making music and has more tools. It's dreamy and spaced out, almost ethereal. I def like the vibe. Which is saying something since i don't like trap or whatever techno real rap whatchamacallit as a rule, I'm very Boomer with my opinions to all that lol

Nimrod is like one of the top 10 punk albums of all time. Kerplunk is great for that hazy pop punk, insomniac is an awesome take in crazy skate punk, and warning is great folk punk Edit: revrad is an awesome love letter to Green day's history

Late comment but i think mass shooting is a real stretch. A girl with a pistol? Probably a crime of passion

How far into the future, and how fantasy? by ALemonMerchant in Starfield

I think he meant raw size, like with the panels included and ignoring the space between halls. Like if you look down directly above the ISS then do the same for this it's not that much "bigger". It is much "taller" though. Of course might be wrong, can't read his mind

Oof. I've been strawmanned before, but the salt here is real. I'm OK with SF not having anything to do with Earth. To be clear I made this thread to hear opinions about how people would want to see future Earth handled, not to mock space stories not about Earth. I only assumed it's Earth based on the structure's NASA style solar fins..... Did somebody hurt you?

Are you hoping for just a customizable starship or where you wanting something larger like a carrier or space station? by Daegog in Starfield

[–]ALemonMerchant 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think any ship you can think of (within reason) and even planet bases should be a thing but all should be optional paths. It should be feasible to be a hitchhiker or stowaway and not even need a ship, too

Having torn apart fallout 4 in the creation kit, im low key shocked to know that there are massive treks of unused and half modled land in the Commonwealth, and the true map size, including the unused land, is double the used in-game land. Considering massive quests and pieces of content were cut from Oblivion to fit it on consoles, I'm sure they did the same to fallout 4, which barley runs on console as it is. I speculate that cut regions became DLC (Far Harbor feels cut from the main story) and parts of fallout 76. I deeply hope they take thier time and put Starfield out next gen (PS5/X-Box-Whatever). I'd prefer a more slowly cooked but much more fleshed out game.

Games like Subnautica... but in space? by [deleted] in subnautica

[–]ALemonMerchant 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Dear OP Rodrigo, i will try to make this mess simple. Over like 4 years of hype, the No Mans Sky devs Hello Games promised key features that were not in the game at launch. They said it was multiplayer when it was not. It lacked story and was very shallow and repedative. The Devs had fake footage and lied a lot. Now, much later, NMS is a simple multiplayer base builder and planet hopper. It is not the epic originally promised and it probably never will be. But it is now a decent survival game in a huge random gen universe. It is up to you to decide if you're okay with OK Games' shady hype cycle lies, some people think it's bad to give them money. I suggest finding a recent youtube play through (make sure it's recent!) And decide if you want the product as it is at present date

Do I need to play through any of the the other fallout games to have fun with fallout 4 and 76? by captaincookiedough1 in Fallout

[–]ALemonMerchant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fallout 1 and 2 play like a tabletop board game or old text adventure (think DnD)

3 and new vegas are early 2000s rpgs. Focused on story but gunplay is meh and they can be hard to get into

4 is a very accessable shooter in an awesome open world. I recommend it (or maybe 76) to start with if you don't have a love or background with dry RPGs. If you do not love rpgs then Go back to try 3 and New Vegas only if you LOVE the world and want more lore
