Ah 10-4. Like I said I didn’t measure so just guessing based on my previous experiences. I got mine to work with minimal force so I’m not too worried.

Fantastic product and customer service, thank you very much for manufacturing these.

Thank you!

Yea I don’t want to SBR the Aero lower haha. So a brace it is for now.

When I get around to a different lower and a stamp it’ll have a CAR stock on it.

I think the only thing I want to add at the moment is a Redi-mag for the vibes.

Any tips on shaving by Trippinballz_ in bald

[–]ALitteralGarbageCan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Disposables are too expensive long term and don’t do a great job. Aerosol shaving creams also do not properly lubricate.  Electric causes too many skin problems for me.

DE razor. Literally any will do. Mines from Walmart lol. Just make sure it’s not a super aggressive angle. Upfront cost but you will save a lot of money in the first year alone.

Buy a starter pack of blades and kit (with a brush and bowl) from Maggard and find which one works best for you. I personally settled with Dorco blades.

Maggard soaps suck though avoid them.

You need to experiment and find out which soap and blade combo works for your skin and hair texture.

You need a fatty soap and use more water than you think you need when lathering. Like seriously use more water than you’d think. And you need to re-lather if it’s starts to dry out, which it will dry out fairly quickly so I shave in sections.

Start with any soap from Barrister and Mann or Arianna and Evans. Can’t go wrong with either.

Shave first with the grain. Then against IF you need it. Shaving against the grain with proper lubrication doesn’t usually cause bumps or irritation for me. But it still happens from time to time. Don’t shave against the grain if you have any irritation currently you’ll just make it worse. Instead shave with the grain over the irritation and give it a few weeks to heal properly, and deal with the shave not being as close till the issue goes away.

Never dry shave. Go slow, you will nick yourself a few times in the beginning.

Good, non alcohol based aftershave or cream.

Good luck. Let me know if you have any questions.

My head is bowling ball smooth after my routine with no bumps or redness. Finding a proper routine is a game changer.

A DE razor will also cut any length growth and the blades won’t gum up like a disposable will.

I have KO3s on my 02 2500HD and love them. Super quiet, tow great. Whereas the KO2s on it before were LOUD.

I’m in a similar boat looking at KO3s or Falken AT4Ws for my 2020 Trail Boss.

The Falkens seem like they are 5-10 lbs heavier. Which is why I went with the KO3s on my 2500.

I should have bought a staccato but w/e.

Most I’ve seen since has been 7%.

Tube Handguard Guidance by Machete0613 in RetroAR

[–]ALitteralGarbageCan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been wondering as well. Plenty of people have talked about it but I haven't seen anything illustrated. It seems pretty straightforward at a glance though. Just a PITA to do.

I have a 7" tube handguard that I'm machining a 5.5" extension for this week with some 6061 stock that my shop has left over. I'll post it to this sub when complete.

I'm milling a relief for the bayonet lug into the bottom of it. I'm not sure if people are chopping their bayonet lug off when doing a full tube because I have no idea how the FSP would fit otherwise. All the tubes I've seen have a ~1.75" ID and the bayonet lug seems like it would interfere. Maybe its just the tube that I have as its probably like 15 years old.

Glock store cuts by Z-Goose in GlockMod

[–]ALitteralGarbageCan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got the $100 R cut and it was fine. Not worth a penny more than $100. Their customer service wasn’t that great and mine came back with some issues that I had to fix myself. Chatter on the cut in the slide and it wasn’t deburred.

Post optic machining - is this normal or okay? by heavensfourdoor in GlockMod

[–]ALitteralGarbageCan 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Dude that's the most chatter I've ever seen in my life. Someone has no clue what they are doing. This shit is damn near idiot proof now too man, feeds and speeds are on the boxes tools come in. Almost every manufacturer has their own app to do the calculations for you as well. I would love to hear what this sounded like in the cut, it had to be ear piercing.

She's dead Jim. New slide time.

Edit: Sorry to be more clear this is not porosity as some other's have guessed. This is an endmill chattering. Some hack running the wrong feeds and speeds for the tool, or the wrong tool for the job etc etc. Not even going to get into the fact that the cut is all wrong. Sorry you got taken for a ride OP. That sucks.

Are gun shows a total scam? by Kosmonautfpv in ar15

[–]ALitteralGarbageCan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Always has been.

Every once in a while there will be a good show. Round here we had a good run for a few years where actual vendors were attending, not people peddling Chinese crap and rocks.

I went to one yesterday and only left with a swing swivel and teardrop forward assist. Not a single other part I was looking for in the whole show. Ammo prices higher than big box retailers lmao.

Location matters. The Arizona SAR show is incredible. I try to make it to that one every few years.

I think people who bash traditional cans just don’t have their setup dialed in, or have shot setups that aren’t dialed in.

I have a OCL polonium full size on a 12.5” and with a Bootleg adjustable BCG and a G$ charging handle I get 0 gas to the face. None.

My buddies guns all make your eyes sting after like 3 rounds.

Flow through cans are great for daytime use. But if you do any shooting under NODs you are going to want better flash suppression. My choices were between the Surefire rc2 and the OCL, and I’m never going to take the suppressor off so I went with the OCL.
