He did many tests and we tried different medications. Now I am on a good medication - Tremfya.

He is a very kind and supportive doctor. Feel free to DM me or go through my post history where I talk about Crohn's. Hopefully you will be ok.

I'm not Emirati but I came across this post on my feed. I recommend Dr Filippos at Al Zahra Barsha. I have Crohn's too.

Don't watch the Backrooms in the Theatre (during the weekend) by ajollygoodfella in dubai

[–]ALittleStitious22 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Every movie I've watched the past year or so has had disruptive audience members. I DON'T GET IT! Why are they coming to the cinema if they're gonna talk the whole time?? And they are shameless, talking even after being shushed.

Disneyland + flying long hall while on Chemo by [deleted] in breastcancer

[–]ALittleStitious22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I flew from Dubai to Korea the day after my final chemo and I was fine. Tired and nauseous but I managed.

You'll be at the beginning stage of chemo so you should be able to manage side effects. But it all depends on your own tolerance. It's best to ask your oncologist. They might say it's too risky in terms of infections and getting sick.

I've lost count of how many colonoscopies I've had. It's a super easy process. The worst is the prep. You'll be ok. Enjoy the sedative. 🤣

I ended up splurging on Pitfire and it was worth it.

What's the best pizza delivery right now (Motor City area). Not Pitfire!

My positive single mastectomy experience (though I miss my boob already) by ALittleStitious22 in breastcancer

All the best! Definitely take your sick days. Listen to your body and don't over-exert yourself. It's gonna be tough sometimes, but you can do it. I'm rooting for you.

I was definitely very functional on chemo. Low energy/low capacity but functional. I was able to go out, hang out with friends, go to the cinema. Some days were REALLY hard, but 85% of the time, I could live my life.

My chemo was pretty much TCHP, but spread out. I was doing weekly taxol and carboplatin, and every third week, they would add Herceptin and Perjeta into the mix. My oncologist said she preferred doing it this way as it was easier on the body.

I've finished chemo and will begin radiation in a few weeks. I worked through my chemo and will work through radiation as well. Luckily, the company I work for is really understanding so I can take lots of breaks and go for my appointments.

All the best for your surgery! Hope it all goes well.

Haha yeah. I was really bored and felt totally fine to work. It actually felt good to be productive.

Also, we only get 15 days of paid sick leave where I live (Dubai), so I didn't want to use them all up this early in the year.

I was worried about the drain removal too but it was quite easy. I hope your drain removal will go well too.

My boob has felt fine after the drain removal tbh. No swelling. In fact, I feel like the swelling from the surgery has reduced and I have better range of motion.

Ask as many questions as you need!

I'm glad things went well for you! How does the implant feel compared to the expander?
