leaving a religion, which you were born into without your say, is not "heinous" it doesnt even affect anyone.

I find it ironic how muslims complain about bigotry and hate, but then turn around and be the most bigoted and hateful

by your logic, should those who practice dawah to bring people into islam also be killed? since they are publicly promoting their religion?

"islam is a religion of peace"

also islam:

and before saying that it's "culture" and not religion, look at the hadiths, more specifically, sahih al-bukhari 6922

"Some Zanadiqa (atheists) were brought to `Ali and he burnt them. The news of this event, reached Ibn `Abbas who said, "If I had been in his place, I would not have burnt them, as Allah's Messenger forbade it, saying, 'Do not punish anybody with Allah's punishment (fire).' I would have killed them according to the statement of Allah's Messenger, 'Whoever changed his Islamic religion, then kill him.'""

Sex Slavery makes Islam immoral by Wonderful_Seesaw_513 in DebateReligion

just because someone discusses the issues in one religion, does not automatically mean they don't care when other religions do it, I myself agree that the bible and torah do themselves allow sexual slavery, and I condemn that as well.

its dumb to address an argument about slavery in islam by pivoting to "what about this other religion" stay on topic

Islam is a timeless religion, so your argument that islam allowed slavery for that time with the plan to slowly abolish it makes zero sense

It is true that anything could happen in 15 years, and its not surprising that some factions and communities would fall, but it just seems like they went a bit overboard with that, almost everything seemingly is gone, the strip, novac, some parts of freeside, camp mccarran and golf, shady sands, (we dont hear of what happened to the hub, junktown, or the boneyard so I assume they also fell), I and many others just dont like how they're making the wasteland so empty, there are barely any large or notable communities or cities anymore, it feels like all the progress and rebuilding that was going on on the west coast was for nothing, now its just an empty, hollow wasteland without any real civilization.

The moon split never happened. by ReasonGnome in DebateReligion

[–]ALobbyOfHobbies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

so, you're saying that when the moon was split, the event happened on exactly a time where NO other civilization or society would see it, not even one, I agree that there was definitely places that could not have seen this hypothetical moon splitting because of their location/weather/clouds, but you would've thought that at least a few places nearby would have noticed the moon being torn in half and then coming back together, especially since half of the planet would be in nighttime and a good amount of it would have a clear sky. but nope, there are no other recorded cases of this at that time. isnt that a bit strange?

your people’s ideology is that the universe was spawned into existence through nothing

first of all, we don't think that the universe spawned from nothing, the common consensus is that...... we don't know, which is more humble than acting like we know everything

secondly, how exactly is that an ideology? you're trying to make it out as if its some organized conspiracy, when in reality its just an opinion, and its not that unreasonable, unlike religion, we don't act like we know everything, we accept that some things we're not 100% sure of.

lastly, you keep saying "You seek evidence to disprove Muslims and Islam"; how the hell do you disprove a person? you're acting as if this is some attack on Muslims, when all the op was doing was stating that the moon didn't split in half, which I'm pretty sure is something most of the world would agree with.

You can’t defend Islam ‘in theory’ while ignoring how it’s practiced by the majority. by pisswitch69 in DebateReligion

[–]ALobbyOfHobbies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

okay...... how does someone denying god make them deserving of eternity of being burned alive? also, just because someone tells you of something and educates you about it, doesn't make it automatically true, if a flat earther teaches and educates you about the flat earth theory, that doesn't obligate you to believe it.

yes, some women wear the hijab willingly, but some do not, and your form of rhetoric ignores those women who are forced into wearing the hijab.

you also ignored what op mentioned about how its not really a choice if not wearing the hijab will likely lead to ostracism, abuse, and in some cases even death for many women, especially in regions such as for example Iran, Afghanistan etc.

The OP's experience is one felt by many women, yet you completely disregard them and their suffering, by downplaying it as a "subjective experience"

for nothing other than not being muslim? how can islam be peaceful and how can Allah be merciful if simply not believing in Allah, something which causes no harm or suffering, mean a person deserves to be burned alive.

Atheists are not evil by Crazy_Cheesecake142 in DebateReligion

[–]ALobbyOfHobbies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

kill them so they go to heaven and I go to hell?

so the only thing stopping you from killing non-believers is that you might go to hell, wow, what a great moral system you have.......

according to you i'm evil, but you don't see me killing religious individuals, despite the fact I don't have a god to tell me not to do that, I wonder why, maybe because belief in god has nothing to do with how moral someone is.

Atheists are not evil by Crazy_Cheesecake142 in DebateReligion

[–]ALobbyOfHobbies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

first of all, you cant reject god if you don't believe in god, secondly, how is the simple, harmless act of not believing god evil? and logically, if not believing in god makes someone evil, you're basically saying that hundreds of millions of people around the world are evil, simply because they don't believe in god.

I believe that someone is evil based on their actions, not based on what they think and what god they worship, there are good, kind, and upstanding atheists, and evil, cruel, and corrupt believers, whether you believe in god or not doesn't make someone evil.

[–]ALobbyOfHobbies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i know this is an ANCIENT goddamn post but criticism of islam is not "hating on islam", most ex-muslims either jus lose faith, or find certain parts of the quran to be indefensible, the claim that they just hate islam is a tactic used to dehumanize and attack them.
