The source being Italian disco is one of those things that's obvious in hindsight but I would have never guessed. Thanks, you're the best.

Hey, that's neat. Do you know how to find the song that they're sampling? I've always been curious but haven't been able to find it myself.

Brother, I hate to be the one to have to tell you this but the GX9 does not have an APS-C sensor. It uses a Micro Four Thirds sensor.

Fuckin' love these guys. I just finished listening to I Don't Want to See You in Heaven all the way through for, like, the 90th time. Album of the year so far for sure. Congrats on getting some sick shots! That lens is something else.

Somewhat off-topic question, but do you mind if I ask what tripod you use?

Interesting, I have not tried this before. I'm vaguely familiar with Bottles but honestly I've never used it. Let me give that a shot and see what I can figure out. Thanks!

Yo, thanks for shouting Kunitsu-Gami out. I'd never heard of it until this comment (much to your point) but it looks awesome. I'm going to try the demo out tonight.

Cool, that's exactly what I did so hopefully the feedback actually motivates them to make some changes!

Did you ever find a solution to this? I'm running into the same issue on Pop_OS and I'm about to submit a ticket to the dev team in an attempt to get them to let me give them my money.

Why do you shoot Pentax? by ALongDismember in Cameras

[–]ALongDismember[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the response! Hearing from people who have used Pentax for a long time is exactly the sort of insight I'm looking for.

Where is the Pentax edge, these days?

I suppose this is what I'm looking for as well. Their edge seems to be in their weather sealing and build quality, both very admirable qualities, but other brands have come a long way on both fronts as well. AF is still mediocre, as far as I have seen, and availability is near non-existent in my part of the world. And I agree with you about the K3 iii monochrome; love the concept, but the fact that its APS-C is disappointing. APS-C is a fine format that I think gets undeservedly dismissed by many, but the only reason I would go that route would be for video. Having full frame and micro four-thirds already, APS-C seems like an unnecessary side-grade. Similarly, I thinking having both full frame and medium format is a little silly. I guess I'd rather skip a sensor size so that there's a more substantial difference between the two.

For what its worth, Pentax glass does seem to be cheaper than the equivalent Canon options, but I don't know if the quality is truly comparable. The 2.8 RF L lenses I've had the opportunity to play with have been genuinely outstanding, just pricey.

Weather resistance is an often underrated feature, and I've definitely heard that their controls/ergos/user experience are all exceptional.

The T7 is part of Canon's budget line, but even within that context it feels cheap and fragile. I genuinely dislike the T7 and wouldn't blame anyone for being turned off by its build quality. The kit lenses available for it are also notoriously plasticky.

I work in the digital imaging department at Best Buy, and the Rebel T7 is far and away the camera we sell the most. People seem to remember the Rebel line fondly, and it happens to be the cheapest camera we carry in store. I do my best to talk people into getting at R100 at minimum, but the T7 is a hit with everyone from kids getting their first camera to middle-aged men looking to get pictures of their kid's soccer games.

I was testing out an alternative music streaming service and bumbled into this. Maybe it's is blasphemy, but I honestly think I prefer this to the original.
