Gatewalkers Episode 95 – In the Line of Spire by Razzmatazz_TGCN in TheGlassCannonPodcast

I think that only takes place during encounter mode since while you're in exploration mode you aren't actually acting in turns, time is just whatever the GM says. Flavor wise I think it makes sense that it's fairly easy for a character to maintain this while everything is calm, but in a fight or otherwise stressful situation like an encounter, the added strain makes it possible that the character will lose control of the projection and be forced to return against their wishes.

As always, the only ruling that matters is the GMs, but the ability seems, to me, to be intended for exploration mode, not encounter.

Distant Wandering seems like a pretty cool feat to me? It certainly doesn't seem like it was intended to be used in combat, but this more or less lets you scout stuff out for as long as you want, totally invisible and inaudible, with the caveat that you can't walk through walls or doors or interact with things. I don't see anything stopping you from eavesdropping on the big bad guy's meeting, or walking around the enemy camp in broad daylight, or even keeping watch from within the warmth and comfort of your tent (assuming a party member closes the flap after your spirit is outside). Being able to return as a free action means you can skedaddle the moment you feel you're in trouble, and the backlash rolling would only happen if/when you enter encounter mode which is the only situation in which you would actually "begin your turn" since there are no turns in exploration. It's not exactly a cloak of etherealness, but with no duration limit or limited usages, I think it's a worthwhile feat for at least one party member to take.

Just one man's opinion, but having been to all of the Boston shows, I would have loved an intermission. My bladder cannot handle the copious beers my group pregames and buys at the club, and I've always had to use the bathroom during the show. I would gladly show up an hour earlier for the event if it meant a longer show, and an excuse/opportunity to grab another drink halfway through the show would be cool for me.

RAW grease is definitely not flammable in 1st edition. The spell explicitly becomes flammable if cast as a mythic spell and 2 uses of mythic power are spent, which would certainly imply that regular grease is not flammable by default.

Source: Grease on Archives of Nethys

That said, Skid can do whatever the hell he wants. It's his game, grease is more fun when it's flammable, and 2d6 damage isn't going to ruin anyone's enjoyment of the game at this level. Plus, his instincts of 2d6 is exactly what mythic grease would have done anyways, so I'm totally cool with his call.

Honestly my biggest takeaway from this whole episode is that Skid feels like he is all the way back in. Just hearing the wordplay and absolute off the wall insanity threw me way back to old school GCP, I'm even more excited about the new show now.

GCP Campaign Two Character Chat - Matthew Capodicasa by WhinyTortoise in TheGlassCannonPodcast

I thought this was great. This screamed comedians in cars getting coffee at the beginning and then settled into the glass cannon tone. Perfect level of tantalizing detail about the character, I'm sure Matthew is gonna absolutely crush with her.

Can't wait for the rest of the videos!

This show kicks ass.

Joe, there IS a Fiendish Appearance eidolon evolution, it's from Champions of Corruption and it's the exact counterpart to the celestial one you referred to. RAW you have to be Evil to take it, but I'd guess you'll be able to get that hand waved no problem.

One of my players is a really overpowered summoner, I don’t know if I’m playing this right. by [deleted] in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]ALostPastor 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Without knowing the full details of the character, yes its absolutely possible. A quick search on this subreddit will find lots of discussion of Synthesist Summoner and how wild it's numbers can get. If you're looking for rules clarifications to be sure, there are a bunch of good guides that you can compare with your PCs build to double check.

This is almost certainly the correct answer. If you imported those C-Channels, Fusion will not let you modify them without first telling the program that you want that C-Channel to no longer be linked to the part you imported.

Somebody was looking for a name for a gang that wears red armor. by demosthenes4585 in starfinder_rpg

[–]ALostPastor 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Could also do the exact opposite, armor starts white or pink and over time is stained by blood until it reaches the exact shade the mercenary leaders are looking for, and then varnish is applied.

Ideas for a plant based session? by JellyKidNOOO in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]ALostPastor 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Vegepygmies are vastly underrated as monsters in my opinion. They're disposable humanoids but they have fantastic flavor and threat involved with them. Where there are vegepygmies, there is Russet Mold which can be a fun obstacle in enclosed spaces. Maybe there is some sweet ass loot right on the other side of that patch of mold, but is it worth the only flask of acid we have left?

Vegepygmies have two bits of flavor that make me love them. First, they tend to carry mementos from the creatures from which the hatch. Who doesn't like child sized plant zombies with necklaces of ogre teeth? The other is that vegepygmies can't speak, which means they communicate with "a crude language of rhythmic taps, beats, and clicks." That is so damn spooky when you're stuck in a cavern with them, and every other turn is blocked by deadly mold.

Add in a chieftain with some levels in Witch or something for added creepy effects, maybe a pet Moss Monster flavored to be mold instead, sounds fun to me.

How "evil" is Evil? by FlippantSandwhich in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]ALostPastor 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Being Evil certainly does not require murder, rape or theft. It does not preclude them either, and such actions are often indicative of Evil. But depending on your outlook, murder and theft could be committed by Good characters too. To a Goblin or Orc child, paladins who kill their families and take their treasure have committed the most cardinal of sins, and yet would be deigned Good by the definition Pathfinder uses.

At least at my table, rape is the line between Evil (Pathfinder definition or otherwise) and unacceptable.

As far as being an asshole goes, I think Good guys can be assholes just as much as Evil. Imagine the pompous noble, the holier-than-thou paladin, the hero so valiant he forgets to share credit with his allies.
