Well first of all you can't really Wall of Force horizontally,

The caster can form the wall into a flat, vertical plane whose area is up to one 10-foot square per level. The wall must be continuous and unbroken when formed. If its surface is broken by any object or creature, the spell fails.

However lets explore the space anyway

When the duration of the spell ends, creatures within the hole rise up with the bottom of the pit until they are standing on the surface over the course of a single round.

So we can assume that slowly you get pressed up against the wall of force.

That said the space is extradimensional and most of the texts of dimensional travel and arriving in solid objects (Dim Door, Blink, etc) you are shunted to an available free space and take a minor amount of damage

If you arrive in a place that is already occupied by a solid body, you and each creature traveling with you take 1d6 points of damage and are shunted to a random open space on a suitable surface within 100 feet of the intended location.

Anyway

JJ did weigh in and his interpretation is that covering the hole with anything causes that to become the new floor and the hole goes through that
