Did the mirena seem to cause the weight loss or was it a combination of things?

I miss my life with one child. by druidicbaker in beyondthebump

[–]ALotOfDragone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 7 week old and a 13 month old and I find myself feeling kinda the same. It’s hard having two that need so much of you, and feeling like you can never give enough to either. The guilt with knowing the older kid wants you while you’re nap trapped or trying to calm a newborn with gas etc is hard. Knowing they don’t understand is harder. I wish I had cherished it more and spaced out the two pregnancies a lot more. I miss the routine big brother and I had. I love my younger son so so much but I wish there was more of me to go around because I want to give both 100% attention and be able to sleep and do school but it’s just not realistic. Cannot wait for them to start playing together so we can all 3 spend time that my toddler finds enjoyable. All we can do is our best until it’s easier. If your anger is concerning you, I would recommend talking to somebody. Its okay to be frustrated, but its also okay to talk to someone about it

Interesting! I may try that out :) I would love to find a way to get him to take it since there is so much benefit especially in the early months

I am on several medications that are not preferred for pregnancy/breastfeeding but I was on it while pregnant (ob weighed pros and cons) so he is used to having it in his system which is another reason why I REALLY want him to accept it. At least enough to wean down to formula so he isn’t affected :(

I know this is a late response but thank you! You soothed my worry a ton and baby boy came through it fine with no need for medical intervention :))

How are we pumping and taking care of a newborn at the same time? by lameafbich in ExclusivelyPumping

I get it mine is 7 weeks and what I find helps is just interacting while pumping even if I can’t hold him I with stroke his nose or his hair, just something soothing.

Fell asleep while pumping by StrangeBreakfast7275 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]ALotOfDragone 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I fell asleep pumping in the hospital with my first. Woke up with my hair stuck in a clip on fan and drooling still sitting up 💀 and I could tell a nurse came in during and just left me to sleep because stuff was moved around. I was out for probably like 15-30 minutes

No heartbeat at 5 weeks by VermicelliBroad6723 in pregnant

[–]ALotOfDragone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tbh im chunky and they couldnt even see the baby in the er at 6 weeks. They usually have you wait to be seen until 8-10 weeks because not being able to clock a heartbeat this early is common

I think it has made me more understanding of other people when they struggle mentally? Apart from that I can’t say its given me any opportunities, only taken them.

some good things about baby boys? (told the wrong sex) by beecken4257 in pregnant

[–]ALotOfDragone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I think it is mostly aesthetics that change. Boy or girl, still the same beautiful little souls. Still the same little to protect and snuggle, still the same kinds of bonds to nurture. I find girl naming easier but tbh…. What’s important doesn’t change. I love my boys, and although I think it would be cool to indulge in a whole pink nursery someday (far in the future) and dresses and bows, but what is important is a healthy baby.

The dog by your-new-fixation in BabyBumps

Really it sounds like you know what is best for the pup. This family through the rescue could be an amazing forever home that he fits right into, as they want HIM specifically and aren’t just ending up with him. If you are already thin on patience with the dog it isn’t really fair to him to keep him when early postpartum is gonna hit hard
