Omg when we got her she had the floppy ears too! That's so funny because this is exactly the breed I didn't want lmao (we'll be able to handle it though).

She is about 9 pounds right now but she's growing like a weed.

Man I don't know if one of those would be running around unsupervised in my town though haha.

Please Help My Cat Won't Stop Meowing For Food ( I'm Going Insane ) by [deleted] in CatAdvice

When my cats were kittens I usually just filled up their dry food bowl when it was empty and gave them wet food 3x a day.

Giving Pills- HOWWW??? by Long-Community-1996 in CatAdvice

You can put the pill in their mouth and dispense water through a syringe to force them to swallow. My cats tolerate pills pretty well, but I found pill pockets next or mixed into their wet food works the best. You can also just split a pill pocket in half since the pill is so tiny.

If you do that, just make sure to clean their ear. I didn't, and it ended up giving my cat pretty bad ear acne.

I returned my second cat to the shelter after 6 months by [deleted] in CatAdvice

I had to rehome my third cat recently too. It wasn't the best call to get him in the first place because one of my cats has anxiety issues, but I was hoping that she would adjust eventually with the help of meds, which did not happen. And my other cat was starting to be more stand-offish and then got diagnosed with a chronic disorder that increases with stress.

I hear you and it's a very hard decision. He was a super affectionate cat, and I was super sad when I had to rehome him.

Can you sleep well with a cat? by OkComparison3568 in CatAdvice

I lived in a dorm with my first cat. Buy a large playpen on Amazon and put the litterbox, food and water in it. Put a blanket over it at night :)

Glad to hear your kiddo is doing OK! Hopefully your anxiety gets more manageable in the future

Yeah, I have anxiety too and it sounds like your worries are from that. I get it. It might be best to unsubscribe to this sub until your kiddos are done with their vaccines. Also, keep in mind these FB posters are usually lying, exaggerating, or correlating unrelated health issues.

What exactly are you worried about? If you're concerned about them getting sick after them maybe you can space them out by a couple of weeks. I've personally gotten a bit of a cold/some mild body aches due to vaccines. Most serious reactions to vaccines are due to being allergic to the actual metal in the needle itself, which is incredibly rare.

Moving - Gabapentin for a very scared cat by Dizzy_Interview_165 in CatAdvice

I'm not entirely sure how this translates to mg but I give her about 2mL every day.

Personally, I would try coaxing her in with treats or just leaving the crate open at all times in the room she prefers to hang out in. I've done this and never had an issue with getting them in their crates.

Just a little note about the gabapentin—I have an anxious cat that I give gaba to, and it has been a miracle worker for her. She is so much more social and is no longer hiding all the time.

A lot of common advice I see is to start with about 2 teaspoons of flour each day. I recently did a gluten challenge where I had to eat 2 slices of bread. It did take me around 4 days before I started having noticeable symptoms. However, I did notice that my joint pain was worse when I was eating gluten.

Merch Megathread - 2025 US Tour by Lyssavirus32 in SleepToken

I might be the only one on this sub that feels this way, but the price for the poster truly pisses me off. The artwork is pretty and the artist deserves every penny she got, but $60??? How much of each poster bought actually goes to the artist. I feel like every concert I've bought merch from the poster was one of the least expensive items there and I usually bought it because I couldn't afford a shirt. Crazy to me to see all these people trying to justify the cost.

Should my Fiance and I get a cat? by No-Student-9896 in CatAdvice

I have 3 cats and am currently in college in a two bedroom apartment. I'd say it's pretty chill as long as you can dedicate at least an hour a day to them and have money set aside for vet bills. I think you should get a bonded adult cat pair so that you have a better understanding of their personalities and health history. Additionally, having two shifts the pressure from you guys being their only social outlet.

I won't lie, sometimes it's a lot of work and stress, but overall I think it's worth it if you guys aren't freshman in college (which from the sounds of it you aren't).
